Sports Interactive have released the 17th hotfix patch for Football Manager 2026, which is the 12th one for the retail version of the game.

This update mainly fixes a crash that was sometimes triggered during half-time and full-time team talks.

Date Released: April 2nd, 2026
File size: 256 MB

As usual the update is save game compatible, so you don't have to start a new save game.
To update you will need to close down Football Manager 2026 and then re-open the game for it to update. If this does not work for you or you feel it has not updated you will need to restart Steam/Epic.

    @vlad40 which is why the clever ones are sticking with FM24 which still has an amazing modding community

    think we have been BETA testers for FM27
    and the game still looks like in november...stupid headers, stupid passes...none sense relusts, equal stats.... what a waiste of time... shame on the fm26 creators..

    If the game doesn't launch after the patch, try removing the “read-only” attribute from the game folder in 'My Documents'
