Football Manager 2022 Best Coaches for 5-Star Training

I'm excited to present you with the definitive list of the Football Manager 2022 absolute best coaches. You can use this list to get 4, 4.5 and 5 stars in all training areas.

As always, here you will find the most comprehensive list of FM 2022 best staff, including over 500 coaches for all training areas.

Criteria for FM22 best coaches in this list

The list include real coaches (no regens) with current star rating of at least 4 stars (out of 5) for any given coaching category, except fitness coaches and goalkeeping coaches. The minimum rating for these areas is 4.5 stars because there are too many of those in the game.

I have included staff who could have interest in a coach position (general, fitness or goalkeeping), but their main staff role (or current job if employed) might be something else. Refer to the corresponding column to check on their main or current role.

Using this list with help you sign the best coaches in FM22, some of them will be without contract and you can offer them a contract at once.

Coaches have potential to improve too

Since the star rating is current, it's only natural some of them will improve their ratings as seasons go by in-game and new ones will emerge (either regens or former players who become coaches after retiring).

Rule of Thumb: One Coach Per Training Area

Remember that to get full stars from each coach, you need to assign him on just one training area at a time. This means that you need 2 fitness coaches, 1 for strength training and 1 for aerobic training. It also means you need 2 goalkeeping coaches, 1 for shot stopping and 1 for handling & distribution.

I loaded the entire database in-game to produce this list of FM22 best coaches. Your savegame probably has less staff loaded.

Where is the downloadable shortlist to import in-game?

In recent years I would not share a downloadable shortlist because people would steal them and post on other sites without my consent. However, I'm planning to release a few shortlists with my favorite picks this year. Stay tuned for that!
