Jose Mourinho 2017/18 Man Utd Tactics // 4-2-3-1 & 4-3-3

To begin with, Jose mainly used this tactic to suppress space in the oppositions half and against stronger opposition. well structured!

i have recreated both the 4-2-3-1 and the 4-3-3 that jose used.

i chose the higher line of engagement, as he always liked to dominate or at least attempt to, and i felt the standard line wasn't giving me the actual representation!

he never usually pressed high so i went for the standard to create the midblock and more compact you usually see under his style of football that season!

the attacking side of the tactic is using more width and higher tempo to break them down, Jose Mourinho averaged about 60 percent of his shots inside the box where the other 40 outside. to get this down to the T, i didn't set any instructions, that's your own advisement with how the game is going!

this one is a little less fluid, but more 'together' would you say!

most of my analysis has already been covered from the last tactic, and has the same credentials as this one.

however, the 2 changes are the 1 (HB) which will drop deep to help you build. and the (AP) which will roam from the right, which would usually be Juan Mata!
