I used this formation in my Barcelona save for two seasons. First sesaon I had Ansu Fati and Griezmann up front, with Messi behind them as an Advanced Playmaker. That season Ansu scored 60+ goals, won the Balon D'Or and became arguably the best striker in the world. I finished that season unbeaten in the league, won the cup but unluckily lost to Man United in the CL Semi-Final 5-4 on aggregate. This team has not failed to score in a single game in over two years running.
After that season, Messi retired and Antione was 32 years old, so I sold him and brought in Fabio SIlva. The season that followed was truly sensational. Fabio Silva broke all sorts of records, his striker partner Fati having a great season with him.
I played the first half of the season with an attacking Libero and found that the team conceded a lot of goals but scored a lot more so I wasn't concerned. However my board wasn't pleased with the amount of conceded goals so I had to tame the Libero and play him with a support duty. This really helped the team keep a lot more clean sheets.
This tactic produced some fantastic results, including a 6-0 victory against Atletico Madrid in the league, a couple of 8-0 victories in the league, a remarkable 10-2 victory against Valladolid in the Spanish Cup with Joao Pedro scoring 6 goals in that game and a spectacular 6-0 humbling of Liverpool at the Nou Camp in the Champions League. The team scored a record-breaking 163 goals in the league.
Performance in the league

Team Overview

This tactic is really fun to watch because it has a very fluid shape in a tiki-take style that leads to some beautiful one-touch passing goals. I'd suggest using this tactic when you have 3 solid center backs because it's vital they stop teams from scoring on the counter.

Case in point, I ran this offense using Dortmund, not exactly an underdog team, and they finished 4th, 6th and 10th during the 1st season and then dropped out of the top 10 by my 2nd season. Yes, Haaland scored a ton of goals in the process BUT the team can't stop anybody. Afterthought players from decent teams were having games of their lives against you. Eric freaking Lamela scored 5 goals in a friendly against Dortmund in a game where Haaland scored 2 and lost by 4.
