OK, I am just going to say this as it is.......
This tactic is a cheat code.
I am managing Djurgadens ( or Soundgarden as I call them ) and in my first season I have so far played 17 games. We have won 16 and drew once. A plus 36 goal difference in the league with the next highest being 14.

It is a joke just how good this tactic is.
