I hope you have your motivation again because Eugene has just announced that only the ads-free version (which you have to donate to get) will contain PA and statistical attributes.

So those of us who can't donate because we dont have paypal accounts are in need of an alternative. And that is a large group of people by the way.

GS10 has the 'reaching maximum PA ability' shown by 1-5 stars. Now GS11 will have the same but by 0-100 percentage. I understand that the percentage is a bit more accurate but I can't see a huge difference. Or does the GS11 based on a now model?

In my opinion, the statistical based model is inherently flawed. No amount of statistics can predict the variables of how every manager trains their player.

It's another indicator. Development Rate (stars) represents the estimated speed of development and doesn't predict whether player will reach his PA or not. It shows how fast player will progress.

While PD value (Probability of Development) predicts the probability of reaching PA during whole career.

Please believe me that there is no "expert" based model which will be more accurate than statistical one. There is only one exception. If it is made by one of the FM programmer who exactly knows how FM works then it will have higher predictivity.

In my game on which the model was developed (35 years with 80 thousand of players) there are 960.000 of cases. It's quite enough to develop reliable statistical model.

Of course it depends on managing style and random. That's why it makes estimation "only" with 85% accuracy. But this value means that it will assess correctly 17 of 20 players.

And the main advantage of statistical model is that it's possible to assess its accuracy.

Yeah, but are you taking in consideration variables like injuries, tutoring, individual training and such? Besides, this feature's usefulness avoids me.

Yes you're right. But the GS10 also predicts the PD maximum when you tick the box.
