Carlisle looked a lot more clinical than in the past few days after Michael Mifsud bagged a hat-trick to help Carlisle on their way to a 5-0 victory.
Carlisle's 1st goal came after a Kevan Hurst free kick hit the wall, Lubomir Michalik pounced on it, layed it off to Matty Robson who swiveled and blasted it in the bottom right corner.
Their 2nd came after Hurst ran in the box from the right side and was tripped by Andy Child, Milan Mifsud confidently tucked away the penalty.
Their 3rd came when Mifsud took a free kick from 25 yards out, hit it along the floor and curled it around the wall into the bottom corner, clinching his 2nd of the game.
Their 4th and the goal which capped off Mifsud's hat trick came when Taiwo passed it to Hogg who was waiting just outside the box, Hogg turned and gave it to Mifsud who spun around and took a shot which deflected off Kendal centre half Connor Rennie and flew in the top corner.
The goal which capped the performance off came when Taiwo and Hogg once again exchanged passes which resulted in Hogg laying it off to Marshall who hammered a shot at goal which Kendal keeper Regan parried, only for it to land at the feet of MacDonald who placed it into the bottom corner.
Despite all this however, Carlisle suffered 2 injuries during the game, the first came to Craig Curran early in the second half which led to him being replaced by Gary Madine, who then amazingly also got injured during the game.
"CL:I've spoken to Neil Dalton about the injuries to both Craig and Gary, Craig's injury is nothing serious and will be available for the upcoming friendly against Portsmouth. Gary's suffered a dead leg and will be out for about a week and will likely miss the Portsmouth game but should be available for all games afterwards."
