Finally got time to write my new blog. I've chosen 2.Bundesliga side Freiburg. Really promising team, with lots of fine players, good financial situation and excellent stadium.

Transfers

With 500k in couldn't make any real transfer but still I did't have to change my squad much. I bought Vratislav Gresko from Leverkusen for 250k and a real legend, Fredrik Ljungberg, for only 16k, although he is 31 years old, he is in my first team and playing really great (2 matches, 2 assists, 1 MoM and 7.20 rating). I also soled few of my players for some pocket change, and Olle-Olle to Wolfsburg for 1.2m.

Start of the season expectations

The bookies put me in 5th place, fair enough, but with full faith in my players and my managerial abilities I believe that I can be the champion or at least win the promotion, which is my primary goal. It isn't gonna be easy, with many good and evenly matched teams in 2.Bundesliga it can be anyone's game.

First I'm going to play with some, well, pretty lousy teams from all over the Europe, to build up form and see strengths and weaknesses of my team and to make a perfect formation. Friendly matches:


I'm really satisfied with my squad, especially with what they've show in last two games, and game with Hoffenheim. Can't wait for the start of the season, but first German Cup against Aue. Aue played last season in 2.Bundesliga so they weren't my favorite pick for the Cup but i never had luck in the draw. Terrible match, 2:1 after extra time. Although we won, we played rubbish.

First game of the season against Koblenz and after the cup match I didn't know what to think. Luckily we played at home and destroyed Koblenz 4:0. I regained hope and never doubted my team again. Than victory in Muchen 1:0, and victory against FSV Frankfurt also 1:0. Than came the little derby with Duisburg which are title challengers. In very dramatic match we won 3:2 but it could really be anyone's game. Next game against Furth on badenova-Stadion. A real good intro to Cup game against Hoffenheim.

I've beaten Furth 2:1, although the result doesn't say so I was pretty dominant throughout the match. But six of my first team players are injured so i don't know what to do against Hoffenhaim. I also play on Dietmar Hopp so I can kiss my cup hopes goodbye.
