We had to take action! Thus, we've cut a bit more than 30kb per request, by compressing, encoding and altering parts of our code. It will definitely be a refreshing change for our server (that is about to get upgraded), and you will experience a faster site.
Our code is not the most tidy you'll find, and we really want to make it better. Having cleaner code, simplifying the design process and using various compression techniques, we wish to optimize your site experience even further. This will also mean support of browsers we haven't validated against until now.
We'll have to code the semantic and styling parts from scratch though. It's still unknown when that will happen, but it will eventually; maybe in a month or two. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve this site, please say so using this forum topic.
Enjoy!
