France new format Ligue 1 to National 4

Note that reserve teams can move up to L2 provided that the first team is in Ligue 1.

Below is the new format created:

• L1= 18 clubs= 3 direct descents

• L2= 20 clubs= 2 direct climbs + jump-offs from 3rd to 6th / 4 direct descents

• N1= 20 clubs= 2 direct climbs + jump-offs from 3rd to 6th / 5 direct descents

• N2= 64 clubs= 4 groups of 16 clubs= 1 direct climb + jump-offs from 2nd to 5th in each group / 3 direct descents per group

• N3= 144 clubs= 8 groups of 18 clubs= 1 direct climb + jump-offs from 2nd to 5th in each group (4 climbs) / 3 direct descents per group

• N4= 372 clubs= 14 groups of 18 clubs + 6 groups of 20 clubs= 1 direct climb + jump-offs from 2nd to 5th in each group (4 climbs)
