4-3-3 Rock Solid Defending Tactic

This tactic was built with Italian football in mind while taking an already working base from my previous tactics.

The back line is the most creative force on the tactic, with Ball Playing Defenders and Complete Wing Backs, they will all need decent passing and the Wing Backs will also need pace and crossing, with crossing being more important, they will be the ones doing most of the assists.

The Regista is both a creative force when attacking and an extra man to pressure the opposition while defending, he is what will better connect the space between your defensive line and your midfielders. Here you think Pirlo when searching for a player.

On the midfield you have 2 Ball Winning Midfielders that have more liberty to move up the pitch than in my previous uploaded tactics due to the fact that they have the Regista behind them. Their main focus is still to recover the ball but now they can do it slightly higher up the pitch.

On the wings you got your normal Inside Forwards, they will cut inside dragging the defense with them and making room for your Complete Wing Backs to move up with the ball and get the crosses.

Up front you have a lonely Complete Forward. He is lacking some of the support from my previous tactics so he needs to be a more complete player. Some of the times you will see him wondering down the flanks, don't worry, he's dragging players with him and creating opportunities.

Again a use a Structured shape and Standard mentality since its easier to keep a good balance between the players that way. When down to 10 men remove the Regista

Pre-season training should be set to Fitness - High and Match Tactics until season start, then change to Balanced - Average and keep on Match Tactics until around 90% familiarity, then change to Teamwork.

This tactic will work well with both the itsZdan Attacking 442 and the itsZdan 4-2-3-1, in fact you can have all 3 in training and use the one you feel most comfortable with for the upcoming matches.

If your having a hard time finding the players for the roles I suggest using Jamie's Essential Filters just make sure to adjust the values according to your club reputation.
