Korrigan to return???

Rumors state that former Canada boss Michael Korrigan is looking to comeback into the world of coaching. He has been without a team since retirement back in August of 2016. He decided to retire for personal reasons and said he might be back. Michael is considered one of the top coaches in North America. During his time with Vancouver he lead them to two playoff appearances and a Canadian Championship. While with Canada he won the 2015 Gold Cup and lead the team to the third qualifying round for the 2018 World Cup.

Michael has announced that this is quite true and is looking to join a new club sometime between May of this year and May of next year.

Birmingham City and Jewell part ways

BIRMINGHAM- The Blues have announced that earlier today Manager Peter Jewell has left the club. Sources say he left for personal reasons. The Sky Bet league 1 club is currently in third place and look to be strong contenders for promotion. There are many candidates who the club will be looking at and a decision should be made by Christmas.

BIRMINGHAM- Birmingham City have announced that former Canadian national Team Manager Michael Korrigan has been appointed as the clubs new manager. This will be his third job as a manager. Previously he was the manager of Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS) and Canada. Some of his achievements include two MLS Playoff appearances, 2014 Canadian Championship and the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He was out of football for the past year for personal reasons and wanting to start a family. Korrigan will officially take over the club on the First of January since he will need time moving from Vancouver.

So I am now the manager of Birmingham City in England. This is very exciting and I can't wait to get back into coaching. First off I want to thank Mr. Sheepshanks for letting stay home this Christmas and giving me a chance to start in January. For the next few weeks I will be teleworking from my home here in beautiful Vancouver. What my first day with the squad will be on the second of January. Hopefully things go smooth and everyone gives me a chance, I hear BCFC fans are quite harsh and might not care for me at first. I will prove everyone wrong and we will be back to the Premier League.

Rumors are heating up that new Birmingham City boss Michael Korrigan is trying to bring in a former player of his. The last time these two were together was in the 2014 MLS season when they were both members of Vancouver. After the 2015 season Fierro moved to Club America. Other news for the club include the hiring of coaches Dwayne De Rosario and Olivier Occean. Both were members of Korrigan's Canada coaching staff.

A few days earlier than expected but manager Michael Korrigan has made his debut with city, this would also be his 100th match as a manager. Birmingham looked good using a 4-2-3-1 tactic but did not capitalize on a few good chances. The final score was a 2-1 win against MK Dons.

5 months into his reign as manager Michael Korrigan has led the club to the League 1 Promotion Playoff. in a few weeks the Blues will be heading down to Wembley to face Notts County.
