Well after 37 matches and 9 months of football this is it. The La Liga title race has come down to the final day. It is between either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

-Real Madrid win the title if they draw as they have a better head to head record.
-Barcelona will only win if Real Madrid lose their game and Barcelona win their game.



Both teams had very tough fixtures and they know that they will have to give 100% to win the league.

Barcelona managed to beat Athletico Madrid 4-1 and they deserved their win. Goals from Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Pique. The 4-1 win put Barcelona on 80 points with Real Madrid on 79 before their game agasint Espanyol.

Well the game finished 0-0. That meant that REAL MADRID HAVE WON THE LEAGUE FOR THE 33rd TIME. The fans went mad as they celebrated in the stands watching down on their idols with joy as they celebrated on the pitch. The game was very tense as Madrid were too afraid to go forward in case Espanyol countered but they managed to hang on to win another League title and do the double.


After such a tense league season Real Madrid won the league on their head to head record. A great achievement for Zinedine Zidane in his first season as manager, he spoke to media earlier about the win.

"Wow it is such a good feeling. I am amazed that we did it but in the end we hung on and got the title. At some points I thought it was over and I thought Granada would get it but after sheer persistence we managed to get the league. I am just so happy for the players we look very good and next season we will be even better".

Real Madrid have announced the news that Zinedine Zidane has signed a new 4 year contract extension to his new deal.

The news broke earlier just a day after Real Madrid completed the double by winning La Liga and also the Europa League. The Madrid manager announced the news himself to the media and spoke very highly about his time at the club.

"I have been at the club for most of my career but when I re-joined in 2010 I never thought I would be here managing the club that I love".

"We have already got two trophies now and we can get even more next year with the Spanish Super cup and the European Super cup and quite possibly the World Club cup. I wold like to win all of these to boost our trophy cabinet".

"I think my job here will not be done until the Champions League is at Real Madrid again for the 10th time. It would be a uncompleted job if we did not win it".

"The team we are building has now geld together and it looks very strong and I am looking to add to it over the summer`".

Many pundits believe that Zidane might well be Real Madrid's version of Pep Guardiola with Los Blancos having a much stronger squad that the Catalan giants.

Reports in Spanish papers are circulation rumours that Karim Benzema did not attend the first 3 training sessions of pre season and that he has fallen out with manager Zinedine Zidane.

Benzema, who recently won the Wolrd Cup with France did not arrive to train with Real Madrid for 3 days and is yet to show up.

Manager Zidane spoke to press about the incident and did not hold back in his comments.

"After all we did for him he has thrown it at our faces. When he comes back he will have a big penalty to pay and to be honest I do not see a future at Real Madrid for Karim and I think he will be leaving soon".

"Nobody is bigger than any club let alone Real Madrid. This is a matter we will be dealing with internally. Thank you".

Cristiano Ronaldo also spoke of his disappointment at Benzema with a post of Twitter.

"A good friend has let me down. It is such a shame, bye friend".

PSG and Arsenal are linked with moves for the striker but Real Madrid will not let him go cheaply at all.

Well it has been another busy transfer window for Real Madrid as they look ahead to start their 2014/15 campaign. Joining us is manager Zinedine Zidane who will talk about all the in's and out's this transfer window.

We have some good young strikers at the club but to get this kid on a free was something I could not turn down at all. He has a great potential and with Morata and Jese also competing to play as a striker we have some healthy rivalry.

Well we needed a new CB who could also play in midfield and he is just the guy. He can provide good cover for Varane and Ramos and can also play in midfield. I did not want to bring in too many midfielders due to the fact that Sahin was coming back to the club and I do not want the midfield to be cramped.


Zivko has a very bright future and we need players like him in our midfield. Our young players coming through are excellent and he is one of the best.


I knew I needed a new young keeper to replace Lopez and when I saw this guy transfer listed my eyes shot out of my head. He was very cheap to get at his age and he will definitely play a part this season.


We needed a new world class left back to replace Coentrao who ditched Madrid for Paris and this guy was my first option. He has it all. He can cross, score goals and he can defend well. It is good to have him and Shaw together as they can learn a lot from each other.


How this guy was released on a free I don't know. We have a lot of wingers but I could not turn down the offer of this guy. He will feature sometimes this season and I hope that he can develop well.


After the sale of Benzema we had to sign a superstar striker. Wayne was my answer. I do not expect 30 goals a season but he will give a lot to the team and I hope he pairs up well with Cristiano again and that they play well together and help the team.


We needed a striker who I could rely to get goals as Morata and Jese are very inconsistent. Rodrigo will be a big benefit for the team and he is just the type of player I was looking for.

As for the sales. Benzema had to go and £30M upfront was an offer I could not turn down. The sale of Coentrao was difficult to make as PSG matched his release clause and there was nothing we could do. I decided to loan Jese out as he needs the experience to get his consistency up and Morata will be staying with the team.

Nice transfers and sweet on Rooney.
