Following Jake Kean's departure to Reading, I needed a goalkeeper to challenge Brad Guzan. Butland is a top young, English prospect tipped to break in to the national time and arrives for £4m after a couple of great seasons at Stoke where he dislodged Asmir Begovic as the club's number 1.
NATHAN REDMOND
Right winger Redmond arrives from Norwich for £6m after impressing for the Canaries and earning his first England cap.
GYLFI SIGURDSSON
Icelandic playmaker Sigurdsson arrives on a season long loan from Borussia Dortmund after two seasons in Germany. He provides experience and competition for Jack Grealish for the 'Number 10' role in the side.
EMIR ZIZEK
18 year old Slovenian international Zizek arrives for £2.7m from FC Kobenhavn. After making his debut at 15 for the Danish club's first team, he went on to score 44 goals for the club. We beat off competition from Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Benfica, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal for the youngster's signature.
