Favourite story of FM 14 so far :D Really enjoying it so thankyou :)

Wonder how long you can remain Unbeaten :D
Great start to the league and... dat team.
Neal: He's looking good mate, cheers! :)

Alex: Cheers pal :D

James: Thanks man, hopefully all season! :)

Pauker: Thanks dude, strong side for the Championship!! ;)

October brought my first ever Second City derby against the Blue Noses from across Birmingham. During my first spell at Villa, they had remained in the Championship so I never got the pleasure of beating them.

After the Milan derby and all the hostility, I was well prepared and wanted to make sure the bragging rights were Claret and Blue.

7 points from the 3 games prior had us going in to the game with confidence….

HERE WE GO...

Villa Park was a cauldron of noise and the atmosphere was electric. The Milan derby had electricity but it was a different kind.

There were nerves but local boy, Gabby Agbonlahor put us in a fourth minute lead before Boyata nodded in Iancu's corner on 22'.

Matt Lowton had a goal disallowed on 43' and it looked like we were going to destroy our poor city rivals. The chances never materialised in to goals but the 3 points were what everyone in Claret & Blue craved and the team duly delivered.

FINAL SCORE: Aston Villa 2-0 Birmingham City

The remainder of the month saw us defeat Middlesbrough in the league at the Riverside while we advanced in to the Capital One Cup Quarter Finals after claiming another Premier League scalp buy eliminating Swansea on penalties in their own back yard.

We were paired with fellow Championship side Wigan in the next round.

The team is on fire! Birmingham is a team that is slowly falling down! Great work in the league, and beating the Swans in the domestic cup!

NOVEMBER REVIEW

Due to a lot of international games, we only had three fixtures - all in the league.

7 points from a possible 9 keeps us top and undefeated - 9 points clear of second placed, Blackburn Rovers.

Gabriel Iancu, Stephen Caulker, Matt Lowton and Brad Guzan have all reported back injured and join Fabian Delph, Alfred Duncan, Gabby Agbonlahor and Daniele Rugani on an ever growing casualty list.

Academy product, Jack Grealish stepped up as Iancu's replacement with a goal a game in the victories over Wigan and Blackpool and a brace against Leeds.
that is a huge injury list but your team is doing great. any plans to reinforce in the january transfer window?

Yeah mate, looking in to a centre mid and a couple of wingers!!

DECEMBER REVIEW

With games coming thick and fast in a busy December, the lengthy absentee list wasn't an easy burden to carry - after a couple of draws, youngsters like Jordan Graham really stepped up and we won our next 6 on the bounce - including a victory over Wigan to move us in to the Capital One Cup Semi Finals.

We head in to the New Year a massive 18 points clear of second placed, QPR.

IN OTHER NEWS...

We were drawn at home to fellow Championship side, Port Vale in the F.A. Cup 3rd Round.

While in the Capital One Cup Semi Final, we play Manchester City over two legs with Manchester United and Liverpool being the other tie.
Doing amazingly well in the Championship so far, keep this up and you'll have promotion secured by...erm....JANUARY 1ST! :P

On a side note, who would ever think that we'd see Port Vale in the same league as Villa :O
