Comfortable lead at the top, good stuff!
Francesco Totti - Il Gladiatore di Roma
A legend of the game taking Rome to a new empire. Like Julius Caesar except not as good.
Comfortable lead, and what's better is you have a game in hand! Let's hope you can win the league by more than 7 points!
Griffo: Yes, finally we are cruising!!
pokarioboy: I think we have a chance to definitely pull ahead and lead the pack now

Despite having to play through a difficult month including an away trip to Inter Milan and hosting powerhouses Juventus and Napoli, AS Roma went on a brilliant six match winning streak to silence all of their critics and mathematically secure a second straight Serie A title. At the heart of this incredible run: Francesco Totti himself.
It all began with the match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against Inter. Still level after an hour, Totti substituted himself into the match but struggled to really make an impact. Four minutes into injury time, however, the ageless striker was chopped down by Juan Jesus in the penalty area and made no mistake with the ensuing spot-kick, earning his side an invaluable three points.
The match against Juventus was again heavily credited to Totti, though this one for his tactical nous instead of his on-the-field heroics. In an attempt to control the midfield, Totti started with 3 attacking midfielders, one central midfielder, and a 3 man back line with De Rossi at the heart. A beautiful second half goal from Bosnian superstar Miralem Pjanic got the Giallorossi another win in that game, and so the champions marched on.
Totti returned to the pitch as a late impact substitute against Catania. Mattia Darmian's 37th minute equalizer had cancelled out Mattia Destro's opening goal, and after that the capital city side struggled to create anything. Il Gladiatore brought himself on with 15 minutes remaining and changed the game yet again, this time combining with Adem Ljajic to create a simple 1v1 finish for himself to earn a 2-1 victory.
AS Roma went on to dismantle underachieving Napoli before the final game of the month, on the road to Cagliari. McDonald Mariga had scored his first goal for Roma early on and Alvaro Morata doubled the advantage before the break. In the second half, however, Cagliari stormed back and scored twice in quick succession to leave the score at 2-2 with five minutes to go.
Once more, Francesco Totti brought himself on in behind the two strikers, seemingly his new favored position. The legendary veteran attacker, yet again, scored a 27 yard free kick in stoppage time to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory. Combined with a 2-2 draw from AC Milan, this late goal ensured not only the victory but the Scudetto trophy.
"This has been a brilliant month for me," said Totti after the match. "It's been tougher to play this season along with managing, so it's nice for me to still be able to get out there and make a difference. Most importantly, though, the Scudetto is coming to Roma for a second straight year, and I could not be happier!"
With four matches remaining in the season, the Giallorossi lead AC Milan by 13 points and thus are mathematically the champions of Italy.

After a very up and down season, AS Roma have found themselves at the top of the table come the year's end by quite some margin after an absolutely astounding 11 match win-streak to cap off a memorable campaign for Francesco Totti and his men. Having already mathematically secured the title at the end of April, these final games in March were nothing more than formalities for the Giallorossi.
A number of backup players were started in these last few games. Paolo Cannavaro and Tin Jedvaj started in central defense, while Maicon deputized at right back. Morgan De Sanctis was given the final four starts in goal, and Clement Grenier was finally given the chance to prove himself at the attacking midfield position as Pjanic was rested.
Grenier certainly showcased his talents, scoring three goals and assisting two more in his quick stint as the first team attacking midfielder. The Frenchman has endured an at-times difficult first season in Italian football but will certainly take some confidence into next year from the way he's closed out this year.
Roma's attack looked especially potent in these final games as they managed to score a full 13 goals in 4 games. Mattia Destro also added a few goals to his tally, taking him up to 14 Serie A goals, leading the team in that category by 1 goal over Adem Ljajic, Alvaro Morata, and Miralem Pjanic.
The team must now shift it's focus to one final hurdle; the Coppa Italia final against AC Milan. While Roma stormed to the trophy with 11 straight wins, AC Milan suffered a major meltdown, going 4-4-3 in those games and going from serious title contenders to having to settle for the Europa League.
