Good luck, decent friendly ! You can definitely more!
Brilliant!

MATCH DAY
*buzz* *buzz*

I woke up and took a glance at my phone which was flashing and vibrating.
"I'll take a look at that in a minute..." I said walking towards the kitchen in my apartment.
I opened up my cupboard and got a few slices of bread in my toaster whilst pouring myself a cup of tea.

*buzz* *buzz*

I again, took a glance at my bedroom in which my phone was sat on the chest of drawers.
I walked towards my bedroom and picked up my phone, I opened up my messages and my newest one said:

It hit me. "Oh my god, match day is today?!" I shouted frantically.
I ran towards my wardrobe and put on my suit and drove off towards Edgeley Park.

Upon entering the stadiums car park, a small group of media were gathered around the main entrance, I wanted to avoid them at all costs as I am extremely nervous about this match and don't want to show that in a press conference!

I snook around the back and entered through the back doors.
"Morning all!" I shouted to the staff around the facility.
"Morning boss." They replied.

I met up with Alan to finalise our tactics for today and went into the changing room to speak to the lads before kick-off. We were playing Boston United today so I wanted to assure the lads that this is a winnable game.

"Morning all, as you all know, today marks the opening day of the season, lets put behind the misery of last season and show our fans what we are capable of!" I said to the lads, who looked very confident and fired up.

"Lets do this not only for the fans, but the gaffer to!" Phil Jevons shouted.
"Thank you Phil, now lets get out there and show the fans what we are capable of!"
The lads prepared to go down the tunnel as I walked out into the pitch. This was it.

Player of the Match:
Jordan Fagbola

Jordan was outstanding today, making some crucial interceptions and assisting our goal.

Lets hope we can continue this kind of form onto the next game!

August Report
First month of fixtures completed.

A decent month to start with, especially with two back to back wins in our first two matches. The game at Altrincham we deserved to lose, as we didn't turn up at all and our defending was woeful. The two draws in our final two fixtures weren't ideal, especially at home to Colywn Bay, as we had a lot of chances but luck wasn't on our side.

Player of the Month - August

Jordan Fagbola

Jordan deserves this award more than anyone else as he has played magnificent in every game so far, and notching up his first assist of the season which was a delightful 45 yard pass to Phil Jevons.

League Table:

Sitting 9th in the league, was hoping to be in the play offs at this point but its only been 5 games so I have a lot of time to change that!

September Update

At the end of last month, we were sat in 9th place and were not looking the best.

This months fixtures/results:

Much better than last months results that's for sure.
Very happy to return to winning ways against Gainsborough but the result against Leamington was disappointing and we should of done better. Two more wins away from home was very pleasing but a shock defeat to Lowestoft saw us go crashing out of the FA Cup. Maybe next year boys.

Player of the Month
Phil Jevons

Phil has been outstanding, notching up 5 goals in our last 5 games.

League Table

Much better now, climbing from 9th to 4th place in one month!

October Update

Going into this month in 4th place was great, however we are pushing for automatic promotion, so this month was crucial to kick-start our bid to get promoted.

Best month so far, winning every game comfortably, very pleased with the performance away at Histon who were 4th in the league at the time we played them.

Player of the Month
Very tough decision as many players deserve this award but...

James Tunnicliffe

http://www.stockportcounty.com/cms_images/player/tunnicliffe343-980922_231x264.jpg

I could have chosen Phil Jevons again however Tunnicliffe was vital to securing our wins this month, not only did he have good defensive performances but he also added his first two goals this season.

Manager of the Month

My first award! Very pleased to have won this award for the first time, lets hope I can add another award to the cabinet next month!

League Table

First place! The teams around us all dropped at least 1 point and due to us collecting 12 out of 12 points, we've nicked top spot, however there's a long way to go still but it proves we can achieve first place if we play well.

Slater wins Manager of the Month award in his 4th month in charge of Stockport County

Josh Slater, who recently joined Stockport County as their manager has won his first award in his first managerial job.
Slater, 26, notched up 4 victories in the 4 games his team played in October, and has moved his side up to 1st place in the Skrill North overtaking favourites Altrincham.
We asked Josh Slater on his thoughts about winning the award and what life is like being in charge of Stockport County.

"I am honoured to have won this award, it is a huge milestone in my career and I want to thank the whole club for helping me achieve this."

"Being here at Stockport County is a dream come true for me, as I've been a supporter all my life. At first it was quite tough for me as I've had no experience managing a football team before, however with staff such as Alan Lord and very experienced players like Phil Jevons, they've helped me through my first few months and ultimately won me a great award."

Phil Jevons, 34, has been a vital part to Slater's team, scoring 8 goals in 13 matches for The Hatters.

Alan Lord, 63, has stated that he is happy working under Josh Slater.
You're doing well and this is a great FM Story. Keep it up! :)
I got a county save going at the mo...not doing aswell as you what formations are you using esp getting 4 outta 4 wins last month,
2013-12-11 22:16#148850 stockport TID : I got a county save going at the mo...not doing aswell as you what formations are you using esp getting 4 outta 4 wins last month,
I use a simple 4-4-2 with my two centre halves as limited defenders, my fullbacks are on automatic. Two wide midfielders who are instructed to always attack, but on hard away days they are put on support. A deep lying play maker as my left centre mid and a box to box midfielder as my right centre mid. One forward is set as a false nine on support, whilst the other is a poacher set always on attacking.

Hope this helps!
