POWER RECHARGED

We are delighted to confirm Yaya Toure's return to full training after a 2 week thigh strain lay off. Manager Sam Slater noted 'Yaya is back, and don't we all know it!', whilst new teammate Fernandinho elated 'the powerhouse is recharged and we can now prepare for Hull'.

Ready for action!

Manager Sam Slater spoke to the press at length in his first press conference. Here are the best bits.

"Good afternoon."

"Afternoon Sam"

"Right, first question please?"

"Hi Sam, John Johnson here from The People. What's the situation with Nastasic?"

"Nastasic is nearly there. We hope to have him back for the second game, but only time will tell".

"Clive Clover here from The Observer. What are you views on the title?"

"It's there to be won" (The room laughs)

"Seriously, do you think you are favourites for the title?"

"We are one of maybe six teams who could do it. As far as my prediction, I don't give predictions".

"Are you optimistic about beating Hull?"

"With no offence to Hull, we are in a strong position. But we musn't underestimate them. Bruce is a superb manager".

SLATER'S STRIKING START!

Manager Sam Slater has enjoyed a near perfect start to his tenure. The team have won 2 of 3 premier league matches, drawing the other.

Hull:
The campaign began with a 0-0 bore draw at The Circle. Hull generally defended against our men well, and we failed to convert the chances we created.
Man of the match (City)- Laurent Koscielny.

Stoke:

At Stoke we were dominant all over the pitch and actually took the chances we created. Greg Leigh was handed his debut. Negredo had a fantastic game all round but it was Captain Vinny Kompany who was man of the man for City. Overall a much better performance from Hull.
Man of the match (City)- Vincent Kompany.

West Ham:

We we unstoppable in this away game at West Ham, winning by 4 goals. Young winger Connor Hunte was rewarded for positive attitudes in training with his full professional debut for the team and he did impress, making several inspiring and breathtaking runs. John Guidetti was handed his first start too and he marked the occasion with a goal before being substituted. Micah Richards was a tank again at right-back and with K+K and Zabaleta in defence we brushed aside the chances West Ham created.
Man of the match: Sergio Aguero.

Player of the month: Sergio Aguero

'Edin out!

http://therepublikofmancunia.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Dzeko-strop.jpg

Manchester City FC have sold Edin Dzeko to Juventus for Carlos Tevez and Vajebah Sakor. Dzeko,27, played for City 77 times, hitting the back of the net on 30 occasions. Tevez, 29, returns to Man City after a barren spell with Italian powerhouse Juventus.

Sakor, a 17 year old attacking midfielder failed to break into the Juventus first team.

Brokun Leg!

Bad news for Manchester City fans today who are sure to be cursing their luck and indeed their title aspirations, as talismanic cult hero Sergio Aguero has been badly injured by Titus Bramble. With his broken leg, Aguero is out for up to 6 months. So far there has been no comment from inside the city camp.
Unlucky with the injury to Aguero. Hopefully the team can rally around despite his long absence.

I know!

Thanks for the best wishes. I'm sure THE BEAST, Carlos Tevez and John Guidetti can cope. As for Jovetic, he's still out on fitness grounds. This game so far is so fixed- I get Hart errors, that luckily go unpunished mostly, Kompany is on 55% fitness- only just come back from an injury. Micah Richards does not track back enough and there's cracks in the defence, even with Laurent and Martin. A curse? Joker thinks so.

JOVETIC NIGGLE

Man City's Stevan Jovetic is AGAIN out with an injury, twisting his ankle in the Champions League group game against Slovan Bratislava. City have confirmed their striker is out for a minimum of four weeks- which further adds to the injury woe besetting the team, with Aguero also out injured. Despite losing to a more dominant City team, Bratislava were in good spirits after the game.

Bratislava fans with good cheer.

Spain has no Silva

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/06/26/article-0-13CC3B6A000005DC-580_634x427.jpg

Astonishing news today as Spain manager Vincente Del-Bosque has overlooked and snubbed blue merlin David Silva. Del Bosque declined to justify why.

Someone keep him Kompany...

Bad news for City fans today as Captain Fantastic Vincent Kompany suffered a sprained wrist against Arsenal, keeping him out for up to 2 weeks.
Man you're having so much luck with the injuries...
I know, Toure and Negredo now too!

Mancini feeling like I am now...look below at my results for 'Obstacle October'! The paper I have chosen to laugh at this is The Mirror.
