Watford draw Saints in FA Cup

The FA Cup 6th round has been announced and Watford have been drawn with Southampton. On the 9th of March the Golden Boys will be marching on St.Mary's stadium to battle it out with the Premier League side. Unfortunate for Watford fans as they were praying for a home tie, as the amount of Premier League teams left in the cup outnumber the Championship teams. Only three Championship teams remain and one may not make it in until their tie is decided.

Championship side Derby will be facing off against Chelsea while Wigan has the potential to play Arsenal should they win the second leg against recent promoters Crystal Palace (Game to played on the 2nd of March). Fisher is said to be excited to play against yet another Premier League team to prove they have the quality to be a part of the division.
Wow! A win v West Ham was good enough but that win City takes the biscuit. 3-0 up as well! Good luck versus Southampton

Watford win Championship!

It was a season to remember for Watford fans and faithful. Watford successfully triumphed in the SkyBet Championship League to gain promotion to the ever glorious and bountiful Premier League. A fate many fans and players alike of the Watford organization felt they were destined for. Taking the league by storm only losing six games and scoring a total of 98 goals this season. The last time Watford had gained promotion to the highest league in English football was just under ten years ago where they finished play-off winners in the 2005-06 season.

Not only was this an incredible season for the Hornets but for their manager, Sam Fisher. Diving into the footballing scene with little to no experience and producing a promotion in his first year as a manager. Fisher has explained his thrill at bringing success to Watford and has already been boasting his excitement at taking Watford up for next season.

On another front Watford showed great sport in the FA Cup to beat three premier league teams to make it to the semi-final against Chelsea. The Golden Boys had many believing that the cup was their entitlement after many fine displays perhaps the most surprising against Manchester City. Where the Citizens were swept aside after a intense nail biting affair. Yet Chelsea proved too strong for the Championship side out shooting and possessing them through out the game. Unfortunate for the Watford fans as they watched their side dismantled 2-0 full time. Fans left Wembley with their heads held high as business was still unfinished and they would meet Chelsea again one day to repay them.

Last of the Season Fixtures

(Unfortunately I got a little hasty as the season came to an end and just belted on through, guilty)

Final League Table

Will be posting a detailed response tomorrow. On other leagues and awards and more just thought I'd post this for tonight. Sorry for the lack of detail in my posts hope to change that for next season in the Premier League. Life has caught up with me and has limited my time for posting. As I said this will change! I promise <3
Well done on promotion, but I can't help feeling very sick seeing Blackpool in 23rd :/
