2/8/2015
On a fine autumn evening in Burkina Faso, Dijon FCO lifted the Trophée des champions to complete a fairy tale journey for the team. In what was Dijon's first ever appearance we got to see a very new side of the club. After this victory many might think a change of guard is occurring currently in France.

Paris Saint-Germain captain Edinson Cavani got the team off to a flying start as he scored a header from point blank range. The goal occurred after one minute. At this point every Dijon supporter and the team looked so nervous as if this would be a long day. There would be no score until the 31st minute as striker Julio Tavares equalized for Dijon. Things were back at level. It would be level until the 81st minute as Florin Berenguer-Bohrer scored what would be the game winner. As that happened the traveling Dijon fans erupted in cheer.
Dijon would end up winning their first Trophée des champions title thanks to a reinvigorated squad. The biggest impact came from new midfielder Lu Jingjun. The 18 year old would be the key factor to the victory as he was credited with an assist. He would go on to claim the MVP award.
