Overall thoughts

Everything was amazing except for Havre. I really wished that we played better, but you can't win them all. Right now third place is perfect we are close from the top but honestly there is no way that we will be able to take first and win the league. Well if we do then damn I am staying with Dijon forever. April will be very busy with our two cup matches especially that final versus Metz.

Table

2014/15 Coupe de la Ligue Final

Dijon win in thrilling fashion.
22/4/2015

On a wet evening in the capital, Dijon FCO were the triumphant club as they lifted their first Coupe de la Ligue Trophy. It was a weird way to win but a win is a win. The Dijon FCO supporters will be signing their managers name for now on. They still can win a Coupe de France title in a few weeks if they keep advancing.

Nothing really happened between the two clubs as you could tell both were nervous. During the 79th minute things would change. FC Metz's Goalkeeper Anthony M'Fa would change the course of the match. With the wet conditions he could not grasp the ball thus leading to an own goal. This was the only goal.

Surprisingly Dijon were not the usual. We had predicted at least two goals from them but they seemed very tired. Luckily they were given that gift of an own goal and are now champions. "This game was quite disappointing but we got lucky." Gagné would go on saying, "We can't celebrate too much since a very important few weeks are approaching and we want to win the Coupe de France."

With this victory Dijon are now able to compete in the UEFA Europa League. If they finish third they will be able to move up to Champions League.
Bring da trophy home!!!!
Month in review:April
Dijon FCO
1/5/2015

For newly crowned Coupe de la Ligue champions Dijon FCO, April has been pretty successful. They might have dropped to 6th place but they can move back up in the final matches. In 6 matches that included two cup matches Dijon only lost two. The defeats were against Bordeaux and Rennias. In our opinion the biggest win came against AS Monaco. This was very important since both are still in contention for promotion. Dijon would win 1-0.

The final month will be as important. Dijon will face Guingamp in the Coupe de France Semi Final. If they win this Dijon could possibly win a second trophy this year. In the final month Dijon will face Montpellier, ASSE, Toulouse and Nantes. This has been an amazing season for Dijon and the other two teams promoted from Ligue 2 last year. ESTAC Troyes and Havre AC are both way above the relegation zone.

Coupe de France Final

The 2015 Coupe de France final will showcase two new clubs
8/5/2015

This years Coupe de France final will be between two clubs who will make their first appearances ever at this stage. The clubs are Dijon FCO of Ligue 1 and US Quevilly of the CFA. Both sides look eager to win the cup. The match will be played on the 29th of May at the Stade de France in Paris.

Dijon have had a very excellent cup run this year. Last year they made it all the way to the quarter finals but lost to OM. Led by ex Paris Saint-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro and ex Koln goalkeeper Timo Horn. On the way to the final Dijon faced Stade de Reims (4-1), FC Istres OP (6-1), Havre AC (2-1), Stade Rennais FC (2-0) and En Avant Guingamp (p4-4). The manager Marc-Édouard Gagné has been in charge of the club since the Summer of 2013.

Now US Quevilly are the Cinderellas of the current tournament. The CFA squad has came out of nowhere. On their route to the final they faced, AC Amiens (4-1), ES Wasquehal (2-1), RC Epernay (3-0), FC Lorient (4-2), Evian TG FC (2-1), Paris FC (4-1), Olympique Noisy-le-Sec (6-0) and AC Ajaccio (e4-3). Manager Farid Fouzari has been in charge of the club since 2012.

We are predicting this to be a close one with Dijon winning. Quevilly can win the match if they catch Dijon on a slump like the club currently is on.

Dijon FCO win Coupe de France

Dijon will compete in Europe for the first time in club history
30/5/2015

Dijon FCO are a club who are less than 20 years old. Founded in 1998 they are a club with a growing history. The manager Marc-Édouard Gagné has been the key to the club's rise in France since he took over back in the Summer of 2013. This was not their first cup win. Earlier this year they won the Coupe de La Ligue. In Ligue 1 they finished in fourth place and that means they will be in the 2015/16 edition of the UEFA Europa League. We welcome them to Europe. Good luck.

On a mild summer's evening in Paris, Dijon FCO had the honour of lifting the Coupe de France after a thrilling victory over US Quevilly in penalties. In a match that was heavily favored to Dijon, Quevilly will no doubt be pleased with their run. US Quevilly are a club in the French CFA, the fourth division and are a semi-professional side. Both sides were picked as outsiders and proved everyone wrong.

Overall thoughts

The season is over. So proud of the club winning two trophy's and a fourth place finish in Ligue 1. Without Kevin and Timo I doubt we would be in this spot. With the offseason approaching the main goal is to bulk up on defense. Europe will be fun but a challenge. Oh yeagh we get to face P$G in the Trophée des champions!!

Final Table

Damn you did good this season but can you push on next season?

Hopefully. I just need better defenders and I am set.

You've done really good job last season. Fourth place is great achievement and Europa League is big opportunity to show potential of your team abroad! Good luck ;)

    Preseason Review

This preseason was excellent. I feel this group might be our best yet, they seem to really get along. We had 8 matches set but had to call off two due to match congestion. That was no biggie since we needed the res. The highlight win was against Zenit. I honestly felt we were going to struggle yet the proved me wrong. As the Trophée des champions approaches my staff and I are trying to finalize the roster as best as we can. It is looking like new Portuguese AM Lu Jingjun will be making the squad and probably will not be loaned out. Reading the Betclic title odds I was surprised to see our name as a contender. Feels good to see respect.
