Man, it's City!

Hi all, this is a new story. I went back to my Stockport career as I was crocked with injuries on my dawn of a new era story with City. I got them into League Two, but was told to resign or be sacked due to weak handling of finances.

Engineer returns home?

http://images.dailystar-uk.co.uk/dynamic/58/photos/499000/33499.jpg

New Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly already unsettled at the club. It is believed he is anxious for his family and needs to attend to some personal matters in Chile. Pellegrini is known as the 'Engineer' in Chile because he repaired buildings.

Pellegrini grew up in Chile and established himself as a defender.

Man City have declined to thus far confirm the truth of these rumours, but should the new manager leave his post early, the bookies favourite to get the nod is recently qualified lifelong City fan, Sam Slater.

Manchester City FC have parted company with former Malaga manager, Manuel Pellegrini. Pellegrini arrived at our club this Summer from Malaga to replace Roberto Mancini.

We would like to pass our best wishes for the future on to Manuel, who we were sure was going to take us to greatness. We will not disclose the nature of the departure but we will confirm that Manuel was not sacked. We are confident that Manuel will go on to have a bright future. We are also confident that we will still have success as a club as we have appointed a recently qualified life-long fan of the club in Sam Slater.

Slater: "My love for this club will stand me in good stead"
http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/03/69/37/ff/manchester-city-football.jpg

Here we have it! Key highlights of Sam Slater's first press conference.

Khaldoon: Good morning!
Room: Morning!
T. Begiristain: We are here today to introduce to you the new manager of Manchester City FC. Please welcome a man who has recently qualified as a football manager, with a love for this club. Ladies and gentlemen, we give you...Sam Slater!
S. Slater: Good morning!
Room: Hi Sam, David Davidson here from Mirror Football. Who would you consider to be your biggest rivals for the premier league trophy?
S. Slater: Hi David, I wouldn't solely name one biggest rival. I think there are maybe six teams who can vie for this title right up until the very end. It's not an idea to dismiss anyone.
Room: Hi there Mr Slater. Mavis Mavington here from Telegraph Sport. Do you think your inexperience as a manager is rather worrying?
S. Slater: Hi Mavis. Not at all. Why would the board have selected me if this was the case?
Room: Greetings my good man! Terry Tikeson here from BBC Football. You arrive at a time when futures of some players are hanging precariously in the balance. What can you tell us about Edin Dzeko and his future?
S. Slater: Edin has already made it clear to me before this press conference that he wants out. He came to see me straight away when he heard about my appointment. He told me he wants a return to Germany and it's nothing personal against me, more so about a concern for playing time. If Edin wants to leave, I offer no objection. But, I will not sell this player for anything less than 20 million. So, to any potential suitors for the player, if you want to buy him, you need to come ready with that amount, else there is no deal.
Room: Terry here again. What about Micah Richards, Pablo Zabaleta, Javi Garcia, Joleon Lescott, Aleks Kolarov, Costel Pantilimon and John Guidetti?
S. Slater: Micah Richards? Ha. He will not leave while I am here, you can count on that. I rate him highly and am astounded at his lack of game time. Pablo is quality, real sheer, sheer quality and he will also be staying. Javi, well, Javi can go. I am not going to stand in his way. He will not play for my team at all, so he can go. Now, Joleon and I are yet to chat. I need to gauge what he wants to do. I would like to keep him but obviously he is unhappy at game time- which could change under my management. Kolarov is a delicate matter. If he improved his defending I would be happy to keep him. Our beast no 2 goalkeeper Panty- I have yet to decide. Thank you for your time today.

Manchester City have signed Tottenham's strong rock solid centre back Jan Vertonghen for a fee believed to be £24 million. Vertonghen, has declared that he wanted a new challenge due to competition of places in Spurs' over-packed central defence after their huge transfer outlay.

Vertonghen is delighted to link up with Belgium teammate and Captain fantastic, Vincent Kompany.

Klose shave!
http://www3.pictures.stylebistro.com/fp/Miroslav+Klose+Suits+Men+Suit+6aQDrHxGgXAl.jpg
Manchester City have sneakily signed Miroslav Klose. The deal for the German striker is coup at just £3.8 million. When pushed to let our reporters in at 11:00 PM, Patrick Viera was found near the front door. We quizzed him and he said 'Klose. What a player. Terrific signing'. We did manage to get a quick chat from busy manager Sam Slater who added 'Miroslav is a fine player. He has come in as a rotation option- but we have injuries at the moment and I see him playing a great deal in this campaign'. Klose said 'I am delighted to join this club. I am sure my goals will fit in nicely' before he was hurried off to meet the chairman. He signed his contract not so long before with Ferran and Txixi.

Man City fans will hope Klose will have more of these magical moments.
wow nice.. u should get max clayton, alex smithies or tom ince for future hehehehe
For what do you need Klose ? :D

You have plenty of strikers like Negredo,Aguero,Jovetic,Dzeko,Guidetti

but

Good luck !
Dzeko is going to leave!
No offense but i think that Dzeko is better than Klose :/

And even if he leaves you still have 4 better strikers...

Man City sign Chambers and Diame
http://images.football.co.uk/540x410/52bddd26f36d0cb350d9a3c03d189036.jpg
Callum Chambers, an academy graduate at Southampton joins Man City today.

http://mtn.ensight-cdn.com/content/MOhamed-Diame580.jpg
Diame, has been a stalwart for West Ham in recent seasons, but joins City today.

Man City have delved further into the transfer market to sign Callum Chambers from Southampton, and Mohamed Diame from West Ham. Chambers graduated from Southampton's academy and is widely considered to be a future England right-back. Tough central midfielder Diame, has been imperious for West Ham. We got the thoughts of Micah Richards- "I am happy to see Chambers joining us from Southampton, as he is a fine player already! Let's hope he doesn't challenge me too much! As for Diame, I look forward to meeting him and having arm wrestles, as I hear he is very strong".

Average August

Manchester City have had an average August.

http://www.1000goals.com/wallpapers3/Man-City-vs-Swansea.jpg
0-1
David Silva (29)
http://www.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/DavidSilva_Getty_24thOct.jpg
David Silva scored the only goal away at Swansea.

2-0
Ramires (17)
Juan Mata (47)

City had no answer to Chelsea's set pieces as Chelsea made the most of the little they had at Stamford Bridge. City were dominant and were beaten by their own mistakes. Joe Hart was man of the match, achieving an 8.70 rating and making many terrific saves.

3-1
David Silva (56)
Alvaro Negredo (65, 85)
David N'Gog (80)
http://images.football365.com/13/11/800x600/alvaro-negredo-manchester-city_3032550.jpg
Blue merlin David Silva opened the scoring at the Etihad before Alvaro Negredo powered home to put City 2-0 up. David N'Gog claimed one back on 80 minutes, but it was matched by an inspired Negredo who slotted home goal number two and number three for his new team on the 85th minute. The game was fraught with an intriguing display of counter-attacking moves, as each team hit each other for all the game. It was a poor day for both defences, and a game to forget for makeshift centre-half Jack Rodwell. Vertonghen had not yet been signed, Nastasic was still injured, Lescott unfit and Demichelis not favoured. Micah Richards had been playing in that hole but he too was injured.

Player of the month:
