Man, it's City!

Hi all, this is a new story. I went back to my Stockport career as I was crocked with injuries on my dawn of a new era story with City. I got them into League Two, but was told to resign or be sacked due to weak handling of finances.

Manchester City have remarkably gone undefeated for September after an improvement in both the team's tactics and overall defensive efforts.

A battling performance from Aston Villa denied City a win. City had 21 shots with only 4 on target and strangely had only 48% possession. Aguero and Negredo were kept quiet by Villa's defence, but it was the inspired performance of Jan Vertonghen which gave City a positive from the draw. The Belgian is now forming a formidable partnership with Vincent Kompany.

Joe Hart suffered the embarrassment of scoring a very abnormal own goal. The goalkeeper appeared to save the ball, fall over, pick up the ball and then it slipped into the goal where no defender lay in wait to help. Luckily, Leverkusen goalkeeper Reinartz scored an own goal late on which let City back in it to draw at the Etihad.

Man City marched to victory over West Ham at the Etihad, with a brace from Negredo, who was once again in absolutely terrific form. Sam Allardyce was outraged at a controversial incident involving James Milner in City's box, claiming he floored Joey O-Brien and it should have been a clear penalty.

3-1
Rice (14)
Aguero (69)
Cole (75)
Kearns (9)

Man City enjoyed a 3-1 win over a tough Peterborough side. Kearns scored on 9 mins to put Peterborough in the lead and cast doubts over City's prowess. Martin Rice scored an ironic own goal which levelled it, and then Aguero hit one home on 69 minutes. Devante Cole was handed a debut and he did not disappoint as he scored to wrap up proceedings on 75 minutes.

Dawson (OG) (58)
Dawson (6)
Man City were dominant away from the Etihad at White Hart Lane. Dawson scored on 6 minutes, but Tottenham were poor throughout, not deserving of their lead. This told on 58 minutes as Dawson scored an own goal to cancel out his own efforts. Tottenham escaped with a draw, but they played with a fear of City and parked the bus in defence, making it difficult for City to score.
