Derby County - Rebuilding The Rams (Corrupt Save File)

Derby Manager Adam Martin has ended the recent speculation saying he will leave his post at Pride Park in order to manage at QPR or at Premier League outfit West Ham, Mr Martin had the following to say:

"Look, I aren't going anywhere! These recent rumors are just speculation, and quite frankly are utter rubbish. Listen, I'm trying to build something here and with the lads here I'm more than confident that I can achieve my goals here at Derby, I have a fantastic set of lads here and it would be foolish of me to walk out on them, not after all the progress we have made as of late."

Martin was also asked about the possibility of new signings arriving at Pride Park and had the following to say:

"We have one lad on our radar, but he isn't someone who will come into the first team, he's a young lad that we're looking at but nothing is formal at this stage, and of course I cannot name him because he is under contract at another club, but we'll have to wait and see how this develops"

I shouldn't see why you wouldn't get the play offs this season, you've been doing pretty well!

Johnny Russell is a tank if you can get him scoring enough, I remember when I brought him for my Walsall save in FM2012/13 I think and he was like top scorer 3 years running(after finally getting out the league 3rd time of asking)

Thanks mate! I appreciate your comment, glad someone is enjoying the story, it's been my favourite save soon far over all the fm's I've owned, and hopefully I rate Hughes and Bennett highly they should have a bright future on game and in real life!

Russell has he fantastic over the season so far and continued it throughout (I've played ahead just updating as and when)

We had a perfect close to the season, only losing once in the last eighteen games, an absolutely amazing end. Perfect performances against other promotion rivals, this is my best run ever in management and it was great to happen with this team. Derby County is a team that has grown on me throughout my time here, and it will remain close to my heart for as long as I live now, the lads showed real fight and grit and saw us over the finish line with a great run.


I decided to just finish this season off in one big update, and crack on with the next season as I'm sure it will appeal to the viewers more, the next update will be rewards and the final league table, many will be wondering where we finished, it was even a surprise to me as I paid not attention to the actual league table at all this season, I just wanted to play through and look where I was come the end.

The football season has come to an end and Derby County have surprised many as they have battled through to win the Title.

It has been a great season for the Rams, finishing in top spot and exceeding all expectation to lift the trophy at the end. It wasn't an easy ride for them but they have kept consistent throughout and thoroughly deserve their reward.

Adam Martin, now labelled the 'Resilient One' by fans of the East Midlands club spoke out after winning the title:

"The lads have been terrific this season, I can't faulter them at all, they deserve their reward and the celebrations that come with it! We've had a magnificent season and that is reflected with the Title win.

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting this at all, I set the lads a target of aiming for the Playoffs and they have exceeded all expectations and to be here with such a wonderful set of hard working lads with this division title, I can't even begin to tell you what it feels like. Everyone here played their part and I'm running out of superlatives for this side, we just need to keep our heads on our shoulders now and not get carried away because the job in hand now is to survive in England's top division. It won't be easy but I'm sure if we bring a few players in we will mount a good challenge, I wouldn't write this team off, we mean business!"

Below is the SkyBET Championship table, and as you can see it was a very tight affair at the top, it went right up to the last couple of games before Derby was able to claim it, they faced tough competition from their local rivals Nottingham all year round, and I can tell you it will be so much sweeter for the Derby fans knowing that they won the title, but not only that but snatching it away from their fierce rivals!

Congrats man! Interested to see how Derby will fare in the Premier League again.

Unfortunatly due to Football Manager saving and my laptop being utter garbage the file has been corrupted.

A massive shame and shock to find out I could no longer bring you updates as this has been a fantastic save for me and I really enjoyed writing for you guys.

Should I start a new one? and if so who with?

Ideas would be largely appreciated!

( just ideas that I thought up no need to use them)

It sucks when your save gets corrupted, this happen with my City Story in FM2012 and its horrible, you put so much time and effort into the save and story!
