Genie Scout 2009 Bugs + Workarounds

Please post here if you encounter a bug in the new v1.00 build 103.
We will try to update this post with your problems and write possible solutions.

Some suggestions from me..

Make sure you are NOT running a previous Genie Scout version! Downloading latest Genie Scout, delete your old Genie Scout folder just to be sure, extract the new version and run the .exe file.

It shouldn't work with WSM, make sure you got the FM version.

Disable the option "compress save games" from within FM preferences, confirm. Then save your game again and after that you can load the game in Genie Scout.

As soon as I have news from Eugene regarding the bugs reported here, I will update this post.

I have a problem with genie scout
After starting loading, the bar stops when loading people
and then this message appeared:

Error Loading Entity Number:101247
File Position :49469570
Database Version: 1245
Person data seems to be corrupt
Unknown Person Type: 76

I am sure i am asking a question that has been asked loads of times but when i click on the potential ability box on a players screen it does not show his full potential just a part of it. Is there a reason for this?

Lang_db.dat file is missing or cannot be accessed. Is this because I'm using Steam?

For 9.2.0 I just downloaded it from someone on a forum and sourced it to the new location and it worked a charm. Now i need to find a compatible version for 9.3.0.

Could someone please up it for me? At the moment I have to manually select English database during every single search. Very painful.

Game save is not compressed but i am in the year 2016 if that makes any difference?

i also get a message saying unknown database version 1242. How do i fix this?
I have been trying to get a good editor to work and none of them seem to its so anoying

As Marluff i am at 2017 and i have the problem that i mention above.

Also the other saves that are not so big are opening with genie scout without having any problems only the big save of 2017 and the most important for me cannot open.
