2020 World Awards Part 2

European Golden Boy

European Golden Boy is an award given to the most promising prospects in world football. Some have prospered and become the players that they were ment to like, Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero. Others, didn't reach their full potential, like, Anderson or Alexander Pato. Over the last, say, 10 years, the vast majority of players who won the award, have blossomed, and we hope the same will happen to this man, Svetoslav Milev. Milev started his career at Bulgarian team, Ludogorets 1945 where he stayed for 3 seasons, making only one start for the senior team. He was sent out on loan to Ukranian club, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, in the 2018/19 season. After a season there, he made a switch to Stuttgart, where he plays now, for £2.3m. Milev was loaned out to Mainz the same season.

Ballon d'Or

And the final prize of the night, the most coveted prise in World Football, the Ballon d'Or. The winner of the Ballon d'Or is.... LIONEL MESSI! As if it was much surprise. Since Ronaldo was released by Real Madrid, Messi seems to have had no competition at all, getting first over Eden Hazard by 277 votes! This is Messi's third competitive Ballon d'Or which shows that he's still going strong at 33 years of age.

What night it has been, 3 awards and lots of bragging rights have been given out tonight. Messi comes out with the biggest award, the Ballon d'Or, while Stuttgart youngster, Svetoslav Milev managed to grab himself the European Golden Boy award! It's been a hell of year, and we would like to thank, you, the supporters for your passion in the beautiful game!
He's a nice little youngster!:P Might you, bid for the lad?;)
Alex - You're full of compliments :P
Bayern - I know :P
Captain - No, I'm staying around for ever!
Aaron - Mehbeh
I started following the story today and it is really good, especially because it is one of my favorites Watford in FM, with my last save in FM13 he took the title of the Champions League 4-0 over Real Madrid, my big names were Abel Hernandez, Oskar Hiljemark and Sergio Romero.
Good Luck! I will continue watching ... ;)
Demefreitas - Thanks man, it's always great to gain new followers, hope you enjoy :)

December Update

Barlcays Premier League

Crystal Palace 0-1 Watford
van Wolfswinkel (68)

Not the most impressive game, but we won so I can't complain. I'm happy enough because, look on the bright side, it's an away win, and I dominated the game. Crystal Palace aren't the greatest team in the league by a long stretch of the imagination, but I need to be beating the lower teams to even be thinking about challenging for the title. Ricky van Wolfswinkel won Man of the Match for his goal being the difference.

West Brom 1-2 Watford
Ayala (74)
Christensen (78)
Christensen (4)

Another one goal win, like I said before, it's an away win, so I can't complain. Definitely a mixed game for Andreas Christensen, who got an own goal, and a goal. It wasn't a deserved victory however, with West Brom getting 55% possession and 7 more chances than me. Daniel Ayala gained Man of the Match for his goal and superb defending.

Tottenham 2-0 Watford
Hoban (33)
Christensen (75)

Probably the most disappointing game of tje bunch, with a lacklustre Spurs side beating me comfortably. Another Christensen own-goal, I gave him a bit of a personal telling-off in the dressing room after the game, but he is still a good player so I have to give him that. Tottenham's central-defender, Tommie Hoban got Man of the Match for his goal and part in the clean sheet.

Watford 2-1 Liverpool
Oviedo (5)
van Wolfswinkel (50)
Veljkovic (87)

Even after the disappointment of the Spurs game, we managed to pick ourselves up with a win against a Liverpool side with an amazing striker in Paulo Dybala. We were so close to getting a clean sheet, but it was snatched away from us by Liverpool defender, Milos Veljkovic. Winger, Jacob Butterfield was given Man of the Match for assisting both of the teams goals.

Watford 3-0 Chelsea
Saidov (12)
Rhodes (39)
Forster-Caskey (87)

Wow! Just, wow! I don't really know what to say. After that game, I was speechless. I was over the moon. It isn't even like Chelsea had decayed over the years, they still have a master-class team but, it is obviously beatable! Saidov, Rhodes and Forster-Caskey with the goals, all players who have impressed me so far this season. Jack Robinson was handed Man of the Match for his outstanding performance in the game.

Burnley 1-2 Watford
Hunt (3)
Oviedo (46)
Macheda (29)

The last game of the month. It had me a bit worried at times, with Burnley hitting the post on various occasions. But, ultimately, we came out on top, like usual. To be fair, it wasn't a disappointing performance, we did have most of the game in our hands, at Burnley's home ground. Jack Hunt collected Man of the Match, but no-one had a stand-out game.

League Table

Decided to do the league table like this, just tell me if you would rather me show the whole table.

Capital One Cup

Watford 0-1 Manchester United
Davies (90+1)

Don't even get me started on this match. It pains me just thinking about it. United were my bitch, they scored late, that's all I have to say.

Player of the Month

picture in production
It easily could have gone to Jack Robinson or Jack Hunt but in my opinion, Oviedo put the most effort into his performances this month. I've got to give him credit since, Walcott and Lleshi have been injured, Butterfield has had to cover RM and Oviedo has had to cover LM instead of his natural LB position. He really has worked hard out of position though and I may train him to play at LM.

Awards

Opinions

It's all together been a great month, bar Tottenham and Manchester United, with wins against Liverpool and Chelsea. At the beginning of January, I was given the opportunity to change my expectations from Europa League finish. I may have been stupid however, as I have said I will challenge for the title, which gives me little room for error. It does mean however, that I can plug up some holes in the squad... Hopefully!

January

A great month! keep it up like this and you'll be champion!
Great results, keep going and win the league :)
