nice update unlucky against cardiff and Villa are just that good

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has made a move to English league leaders Arsenal, on a free transfer, but Arsenal have since paid the German side a fee of £5.5 million in order to obtain his services before the initial deal was supposed to go through in July.

It is clear to all why the sought after striker decided to join Arsenal - a high flying side in the best ranked league in Europe. That, and the fact that he will be on approximately £70,000 more per week than his contract at Dortmund. He had scored 7 goals in the Bundesliga so far this season, in a total of 18 games. He attracted interest from the likes of Spanish giants Barcelona, and Arsenal's fellow league rivals, Chelsea and Manchester City. Arsenal fans have praised their manager, Jens Lehmann, for this piece of business and have stated that they hoped Lewandowski would live up to the expectations they have of him.
Great deal!
That is a big move! Quality signing
What a deal, hopefully he can give you the goals like he did for Dortmund. And what a cheap fee too!

Diaby and Podolski transfer listed

Arsenal manager Jens Lehmann has decided to place two of his players on the transfer list this afternoon, following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski last week.

Abou Diaby and Lukas Podolski have both been put up for sale, with the pair finding their playing time very restrictive this season. Lehmann has since spoken with them, and talked them round about why he had to list them, and Diaby has spoken to the press today, saying that he is grateful that the German manager is letting him go, as it will mean more playing time for the Frenchman. Podolski is also thought to have accepted his fate. Diaby has been kept out of the side by central midfielders, Aaron Ramsey and Michael Bradley, both of whom have turned in some terrific displays so far this season, while Podolski's spot has gone to Carlos Vela, who is in even hotter form.
Diaby can go but Poldi :(
I don't like Diaby, but Podo it's a very good player! Sad to see him go!

Arteta, Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain all wanted at Manchester City

Manchester City are reportedly chasing Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Mikel Arteta.

This in not the first time the two clubs have done dealings, with Samir Nasri, Gaël Clichy and Emmanuel Adebayor moving to the Etihad in recent years. Wilshere was named as the new captain of the club at the beginning of this season, and is currently doing a good job of organizing and leading his team, who sit at the top of the table. Arteta hasn't featured in many of Arsenal's games so far this season, but the Spaniard is a solid midfielder, and a penalty expert, something which will have been taken into consideration if the rumours are true. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been in excellent form this season, and it is likely that Arsenal fans will not react well if the youngster is sold.
I would say that the Ox and Arteta are replaceable if you do sell them for a big fee to City, don't let Wilshere go for any price though, he's just beast :P
City should start buying players off other teams :P

Olympiacos Piraeus star Joel Campbell, on loan from English Premier League side Arsenal, has won the Greek Superleague Foreign Player of the Year Award 2013/2014.

Some dazzling displays from the Costa Rican international saw him earn the award, previously won by the likes of Everton's Kevin Mirallas and Brazilian legend Rivaldo. The winger, who can also play as a striker, has so far made 15 league appearances for the Greek champions, scoring 8 goals and laying on four assists for his team-mates. He has shown his class in the first half of the season, with an impressive average match rating of 7.20.

Tim Krul Listed - Just Six Months After Joining the Gunners

Dutch goalkeeper Tim Krul, who joined Arsenal in the summer from Newcastle, has already been placed on the transfer list by his manager.

Some horrendous displays from the Dutch shot-stopper, whose performances in the cups for Arsenal have ensured that he hasn't a single league appearance to his name so far. The keeper joined from Newcastle for £6.5 million, and has so far definitely failed to repay that, conceding 5 goals in 2 appearances, with one of those off of the bench. Jens Lehmann has spoken of his disappointment over his signing.

"We took a chance with Tim, who we thought would be a safe bet for a back-up to Wojciech [Szczęsny, the first team choice for Arsenal] but I feel let down, and I apologize to the fans for making this signing. I will be trying to offload Tim during this window. I would like it to be known that the relationship between me and Tim is still in tact, nd I wish him all the best, should he find a new club soon.
Yeah, you tell 'em Lehmann. nice update :)
Too bad he did bad, he could've been good! :(
