Moyes going to a league he deserves! :)

I laughed as I read the paper.

“Ha ha ha!” I chuckled to myself, “I guess I didn't need to send that letter.”
I put the paper down and turned on the TV, something about Korea launching a missile attack on America, I didn't care. I switched to Sky Sports News and the Glazers were in an interview, talking about replacing Moyes.

‘Please be Martinez, please be Martinez!’ I thought to myself as I watched the interview. They said that they were in talks with their new manager; I bet they have no clue who they want!

There was a knock on the door. I turned off the TV. Another knock. I thought that it was probably another salesman; I got a lot since I moved here. More knocking.

“ALRIGHT, I'M COMING!” I shouted to the person at the door. I put on some pants and walked over to the door. I opened it to see a stocky man in a suit with a beard.

“Wait a minute, you're, you're, but…” I stuttered in disbelief, “You’re supposed to be.. in an interview…”

“Yes, I know, I was able to find someone to substitute for me!” The man said.

“You’re Malcolm Glazer!” I finally managed to say.

“Yes, I know!”

I couldn't believe my eyes. Surely the owner of Manchester United was not standing on my doorstep! I slapped myself to see if I was dreaming and then realised that I probably looked like an idiot.

“Speechless? Its okay, spit it out son!”

“How did you get my address?”

“We have our ways, Mr Key,” he said in a deep American accent, “we got your letter!”

“I'm sorry sir; I didn't mean to cause any offence!” I said, still finding it hard to find words and get them out of my mouth.

“Oh no, it’s fine, in fact, I agree. I was just about to sack him before he announced his resignation. It definitely helped that the club didn't have to pay any compensation!” He chuckled to himself, “Listen, I’d like you to meet me here,” he passed me a note with the name of a restaurant on it, “6 o'clock if that’s okay!”

“Yes, definitely!”

“Jolly good! And, bring a nice suit!”

He left, shutting the door behind him. I couldn't believe the conversation that I’d just had!

I arrived at the restaurant. I looked at my watch to check the time, 5:55, I had time. I walked over to the corner shop to buy a Red Bull and a packet of Walkers crisps. I couldn’t eat at the restaurant since seafood made me queasy. I realised that the hard way a couple of years ago when I hugged the toilet for half an hour after eating lobster on a night-out for my 21st birthday.

I walked into the restaurant and Glazer signalled me to a table in the far corner of the room. I sat down opposite him and opened my Red Bull.

“Glad you made it, Tyler”

“Glad I can be here, Sir!”

“Please, call me Malcolm,” he said as he smiled and called the waiter.

“Is everything fine?” The waiter came over to our table and pulled a notepad out of his pocket, “Do you want me take your order?”

“Yes, I’ll have a lobster, and the young man here would like…?”

“Oh, nothing, thank you,” I said taking a sip of my drink, “I can’t eat seafood!”

“Oh no, I wish I would’ve known that!”

“No, honestly it’s fine!” I told him, clutching my Salt and Vinegar crisps.

“I think you know why I asked you to come here.”

“Do I?”

Oh did you not realise?” He said, with an enthusiastic smile, “I have a big ask of you.”

“And, what would that be?!” I was on the edge of my seat, possibilities of what he could say next were racing around my head.

“I want you, to take over my football club”

I spit some of my Red Bull out.

“Sorry?!” I spluttered, wiping my mouth and the table with a napkin, “You do mean….?”

“Manchester United, yes!”

I pinched myself, I didn’t wake up. I looked at him with a blank expression. My jaw dropped and I couldn’t find words.

“Now, the pay isn’t as good as we gave David Moyes, and it’s only a year, but…”

“I’LL TAKE IT” I shouted, “Sorry, I’ll take it!”

“Good, that was easier than I expected,” he chuckled “Meet me at Old Trafford, tomorrow, we’ll talk pay!”
He better give you a good contract on good money!
Nice update TK :D
Awesome update! :)

I arrived at Old Trafford with a smile on my face. I couldn’t wear my suit since it was still in the wash; I just hope that Malcolm doesn’t mind me wearing a T-Shirt and Trackies. I walked up to the stadium and took a second to look around. I couldn’t believe why I was here. When I was writing that letter I never though that it would result in this.

I started walking into the stadium and I was greeted by Phil Neville, one of my coaches.

“Ah, you must be Mr Key, my new boss,” He said, extended an arm, “It’s a pleasure to meet you!”

I couldn’t help but smile at the fact that Phil Neville has happy to meet me. Me! Just plain old me! I shook his hand, still with a mad smile on my face, like a 5 year-old at Disneyland.

“No, it’s a pleasure to meet you!”

“Sorry for disrupting you!” He said, “I’ll let you get on your way.”

I watched him walk away and thought to myself that if you told me I’d be here a week ago, I would laugh so hard. I finally found Glazer’s office and knocked with enthusiasm. He answered and noticed my grin.

“I see you’re raring to go!” He said, with a smile on his face. “Let’s get down to business shall we? You’ll be on a basic one-year contract, earning about 60k per week.”

“60K A WEEK! JESUS CHRIST!” I shouted, nearly choking on my own tongue. “Sorry, it’s just, you don’t earn that working at Asda!”

“Heh heh heh!” He chuckled, “You certainly don’t! So If you’d like, sign here, here and here.”

I signed at the points were he pointed on the contract. As I signed the last part of the paper, I took a minute to think about it all. I was now manager of Manchester United! MANCHESTER ‘FRICKIN’ UNITED! If I wasn’t with the owner, I would probably punch the air right now. I felt like dancing.

“So, I assume that you’d like to meet your team, they’re on the training ground right now. You may leave!”
I love the update, please stick to this story because it is going to be awesome
