Good pre-season, hopefully them signings perform. I guess that's not a bad start to your career as Qatar boss either, and yeah at the start it's always best to leave it to your assistant so you can get a feel for your best players.

Hong Kong 1 - 0 Qatar

Not really promising a start, as I've never even heard of the Northern Mariana Islands and we lost to Hong Kong, but thankfully they're just friendlies.
Interesting story and nice start! Good luck in Qatar ;)
Well you have dominated Hong Kong but failed to score...and man, what are you doing? You've injuried 3 men from Hong kong?! :D

Blunder

I was mistaken, you can only register 5 foreign players, so I've screwed up already. I don't think it'll be a big deal since I can still use the other players in tournaments but it's pretty embarrassing.

Matches

Qatar Sports Club 3 - 1 Al-Wakrah
Only 39% possession surprised me, since it seemed like we had more of the ball. We definitely benefitted from home cooking, but a win is a win and it's a great way to start the season!
Injury: Mohammad Razak suffered a pulled hamstring and will be out 5-6 weeks, which will be incredibly harsh for us.

Baky Kone Now a Qatari National

It doesn't help the national team since he's already capped by Cote d'Ivoire, but it certainly helps the club, as it allows another foreigner to get on the field, and I can register another foreigner in the next registration window.

Umm-Salal 3 - 3 Qatar Sports Club
This was a really frustrating game, as we dominated on the stat sheet, but Umm-Salal played hard and made it tough, the missed penalty and the controversial penalty they got were what turned a win into a draw.

Qatar Sports Club 0 - 2 Al-Khor
We just couldn't do anything, were wasteful with our shots, and unlucky to concede a foul just inside the box after already being down a goal.

Table

Not the best of starts, but we're only 3 matches in and plenty can change over the course of a season.

October 2014

Qatar Sports Club 3 - 1 Muaither
Zheng Zhi got things off to a great start with a goal from inside the corner of the penalty box, and Baky Kone sealed it with a great free kick goal after Muaither pulled one back late.

Qatar Stars Cup Quarterfinal First Leg
Al-Khor 0 - 2 Qatar Sports Club

Qatar Stars Cup Quarterfinal Second Leg
Qatar Sports Club 0 - 0 Al-Khor
Not the prettiest of games, but with business taken care of in the first leg, we took care of business and Al-Khor only had a disallowed goal to show for their efforts.

Al-Sailiya 1 - 0 Qatar Sports Club

Al-Gharrafa 1 - 3 Qatar Sports Club

Table

Things are continuing to go well, but we do have plenty of room to improve.

However, there was an injury crisis shortly before the Yemen match so I've had to make four or five emergency callups.

Matches

Yemen 1 - 3 Qatar
Qatar was expected to dominate, but Yemen walled until late in the first half, when Daniel Goumou scored an amazing screamer of a goal, and fullback Ibrahim Majid made it 2-0 soon after. Yemen pulled one back in the second half, but put themselves back 3-1 as well when they scored an own goal off our corner.
You're doing well at the club and as manager of the country!

November 2014

Qatar Sports Club 2 - 1 Al-Jaish

Qatar Sports Club 1 - 1 Al-Katariyath
We were denied a win by a fluke direct corner kick goal. Mohammed Omar had a magical goal from a tight angle and a great game overall, but it wasn't enough for the win.

Table

3 points out of 1st, even though we're in 4th.

Qatar Clinches First Asian Cup Qualification

It wasn't pretty, but with their 1-0 victory over Yemen, Qatar has secured qualification for the 2015 Asian Cup, which is the first time they've qualified in their country's history. To do so with a game in hand is a great accomplishment, and hopefully it's the first of many successes for the Limior-led Qatar national team!

Next Stop: Gulf Cup of Nations

Next, in December, the Qatar national team travels to Yemen to play in the Gulf Cup of Nations. We've been drawn into a group with Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. The other group is Oman, the UAE, Yemen, and Bahrain. The top two from each group qualify for the semifinals, then it is a knockout tournament. It is a very winnable cup for us, but we will have to work hard to be better than countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. Yemen is looking to make a strong showing as the host nation, too.
I have really enjoyed this upto now and it is different i love it keep it up
Congrats on qualifying
Congrats mate!
Congrats on qualifying! Next up: win the league with SC :)
Congrats, man!
Al, Al, Al, Al - a lot of variety in the league's nomenclature.

Well done on qualification.

Emir Cup 1st Round
Al-Khor 1 - 3 Qatar Sports Club
There was great passing and great shooting as the midfielders and fullbacks found the gaps to pass and make runs through.

Match Squad

It's nice to have a full selection of players at my disposal, with Fabio Cesar and Anas Mubarak making the squad once again.

Matches

Qatar 1 - 0 Iraq
A game that could have easily ended 0-0 or 1-0 in Iraq's favor, they controlled the early going but couldn't get anything going, then the game shifted more in favor of Qatar. Hamid Shahi Zaher was a very important player, playing a very creative ball to Saad Sattam al-Shammari, who scored the gamewinner for a tight angle. Then Zaher cleared a ball off the line, saving a goal and keeping a clean sheet for Baba Mahek.

Qatar 0 - 2 Kuwait
Kuwait dominated us on set pieces, scoring off a corner and a free kick. The loss means we'll need a result against Saudi Arabia to advance.

Qatar 0 - 0 Saudi Arabia
This is not the result we needed, as we lose out to Iraq for 2nd place on goal differential, a bitter pill to swallow since I knew we had potential to win this tournament.

(I had 2014 when I meant 2013, I apologize. Also, Walter, "al-" is an Arabic prefix meaning "the", so the teams all mean "The [whatever]". Except the ones prefixed by "umm-", which means "mother of")
