Nathan Limior Secures Lucrative Qatari Posts

The Qatari FA has secured the managerial services of American Nathan Limior, who will be departing an assistant post in the United States setup for not only the head managerial job of the Qatari national team, but also the head managerial job of the Qatar Sports Club, who play in the Qatar Stars League. Rumors are that this is a thinly-veiled move by the Qatar FA to urge a team to hire their chosen manager to help develop the Qatar national team by 2022. Limior is rumored to be earning a salary of 35,750 pounds a week between both teams, a very nice sum.

With their controversial World Cup being a huge deal, the Qatar FA wants a respectable showing. They'd like the team to get to the knockout stages at the very least, but think they can be competitive in the World Cup by then.

The soccer blogosphere is exploding, wondering how an American can go over to Qatar and accept their dirty money, with many calling him a traitor and a turncoat. It's a highly controversial move for Limior, but it's generating a great deal of publicity for him.
That is different.

You just got a reader. Good luck in the heat.
Good luck eb!
Good luck man!!
Good luck eb! :)
Good luck!

Qatari Naturalization

Players have to spend 1,095 days continuously on a Qatari team to become naturalized Qatari. 1,095 days is 3 years, which is very lenient compared to other countries. Of course, if the player gets capped before I can cap them it's all for naught, so I need to get players from countries whose national teams are tough to break into.

Qatari Stars League

Unfortunately, the QSL rules are somewhat at odds with my goal. I can have as many foreigners as I want, but I can only play three in the match squad.

Qatar SC Squad

I'm going to have to fill it out, but first, I'm doing a radical overhaul on the staffs on both teams. Unfortunately, managing in Qatar isn't prestigious, so I'm going to have to use the job search for both teams.
I guess they hate the heat ;) I would too. An odd rule about the foreigners, too.
Looking interesting, Good Luck!

Qatar Sports Club
2013 Friendlies

Al-Mesaimeer 1 - 2 Qatar Sports Club
Baky Kone met the expectations of being our key player, as he had a goal and had a few other chances. Marcelo Lemos had a great finish on a direct free kick goal but that was the only bright spot the opponents had.

Al-Shahaniya 0 - 2 Qatar Sports Club
Douglao headed in a corner and was great defensively, we took too many long shots but one of them actually went in.

Transfers In

My transfer policy for this season runs counter to my usual policy, I signed mostly older players in an attempt to win the league ASAP. I've put our money into improving facilities so we can have better players. I'd like to get top youth facilities and top training facilities to help both Qatar SC and Qatar out. A better rep will allow us to hire better coaches and players, too.
Good luck :)
good luck im going to be a reader
Zheng Zhi! Great start, I love the story and I love the idea. Good luck with both posts!
Some good signings there!

Qatar Sports Club
Preseason Tournament Play

Qatar Stars Cup First Round First Leg
Al-Jaish 1 - 3 Qatar Sports Club
Zheng Zhi made his mark on his debut as he scored twice for QSC, once off a direct free kick and once off the spot. He was also involved in the build-up play for our third goal, and after Al-Jaish looked in control at halftime, things fell apart for them as QSC lead 3-1 going into their home leg.

Sheikh Jassem Cup Group Stage
Qatar Sports Club 0 - 2 Al-Rayyan

Sheikh Jassem Cup Group Stage
Al-Sailiya 0 - 5 Qatar Sports Club
Baky Kone ran the show today with 1 goal and 2 assists, and we had 5 different goalscorers. We were up 2-0 at halftime and fighting through extreme fatigue, so I called off the dogs, but they still scored 3 in the second half.

Qatar Stars Cup First Round Second Leg
Qatar Sports Club 4 - 1 Al-Jaish
Al-Jaish were shellshocked and they had nothing left in the tank as we finished our rout, winning 7-2 on aggregate.

Unfortunately, the next match is a dead rubber since we've been mathematically eliminated from advancing in the Sheikh Jassem Cup.

Sheikh Jassem Cup Group Stage
Umm-Salai 0 - 2 Qatar Sports Club
Umm-Salai held off QSC's relentless assault until the very end of the match, when their goalkeeper came out to field a long ball but misplayed it and Mohammad Razak scored the gamewinner. He picked up another in stoppage to seal it.

Transfers In

The big deal, 325,000 pounds for him, but he is Qatari and he will help at center back.

165,000

1.5 million
This is one for the future, although he will get plenty of playing time due to an injury to Abdul Ghani.

Qatar National Team
Asian Cup Qualifying

So far, we have 3 points in the Asian Cup Qualifying, with a 1-0 win over Bahrain that occurred before I took over.

Match Squad against Malaysia

I just went with the suggestion of my assistant, I'm going to develop my tactics around my players and see how things go from there.

Asian Cup Qualification
Malaysia 0 - 0 Qatar
We were really lucky to come away with a point here, Malaysia missed a penalty and they had more chances while we were uninspired.
