I didn't really get much of a say in these friendlies because i was just all over the place trying to arrange the squad and look for new players i had no time to even consider looking at the friendlies! We didn't do very well though!

Onto transfers now and to avoid confusion I've highlighted the players who signed for the club by the old manager before i arrived and I'm glad i did arrive there are some fantastic players he's got there after the contracts had expired! Sami Khedia is 33 but for this league he'll be fantastic! As well as Kalas but I'm not sure about the rest of them, I've added a few loans when i joined to get the squad a little bit bigger.

This is my squad for the forthcoming season, it's not very big either like i said i didn't have long to arrange transfers before the season start but I'm sticking to this, this team is probably more quality over quantity, if i need to make any signings in January i will do.

And finally the finances, like i said i didn't have much say in anything so by time i got in most of the wage budget was gone, he did some good signings though so not bothered!

Well what a season this was for my first ever time managing in Austria on any FM I've played it was a very good league with tons of games being played to a point where it was 4 games a week! And like i said in my previous post my squad wasn't that big and i had no idea this many games was going to be played so at points i was plagued with injuries and suspensions! I think the keepers had 31 apps and the other one at 27! So everybody got game time but i never really went of a win streak due to the amount of games being played which made me struggle in the league!

Now onto the cup competitions and jesus christ i was so close to making it the final of the Euro Cup couldn't believe it! In all honesty the only team i struggled against was Monaco, i didn't win it was 2 draws and i went through on away goals. My group wasn't too bad either Napoli, Rubin and Ludogrets a very winnable group. The first two knockout rounds was pretty simple despite not doing very well away from home i destroyed team in my fortress making it hard for them to play their football, obviously the cup ties don't matter in this challenge but i still wanted to win once i got to the semi-final! I did win the Austrian FA Cup which is another trophy added to my collection!

I kinda knew this would happen, Rapid Wein are a pretty good team at the minute and to be honest i only need about 3 players next season to be in with a shot of challenging them, end of the day they only won it by 2 points which is really nothing at all. I've qualified for the Champions League and I'm kind of hoping i don't qualify so i can concentrate on the league but if i do then I'll receive quite a lot of money if i don't finish 1st next season so it's a win win situation really. I'm enjoying it in Austria so being here another season doesn't bother me too much.

A few mentions to some of the players Sami Khedia and Kalas was the only players to play the full 54 games which i was surprised about Sami being the age he is! My AMR scored 21 goals on the wing and absolutely destroyed most teams he was fantastic! The strikers did very well too though my top scorer was the guy i had on loan so i will have to replace him next season.

The bank balance as increased from the Euro Cup and i doubt I'll see too much of it for next season but i only need a few players.

Season 9 - Pre Season

A very quite pre season for us as i wanted to spend most of my time on the transfers and bring in the right players for the season ahead, i should of really scheduled more.

Probably the quitest transfer session I've had since i started this challenge as not many players put a foot wrong in the season just gone so i didn't feel the need to spend tones of money (i didn't have hardly any money anyway) so they was mainly players who's contracts had expired but i got some fantastic bargains and better backup i had than last season as there was so many games played the games I lost was was probably due to the players!

My squad for the season and I'm not as confident as i was last season in all honesty, the strikers are my main problem last season i had a guy on loan who scores 30 odd goals why the players i had only scored a few in the league so we'll have to see what happens. There is still quite a lot of work to do be!
