September Review
A pretty decent month for Napoli, see's them lying in a healthy position of 4th in Serie A. However the Champions League dream has not got to the best of starts with a loss against Manchester United, however the performance deserves credit and you can't fault the boys for effort.

Player of the Month
Paolo Cannavaro

The Clubs Captain has been awarded player of the Month for September. The solid Italian was a rock at the back for Napoli in each game played this month. He even deservedly bagged himself two goals in the last two games of the month. Napoli will be looking for more of the same from their Captain.

A very mixed month for Napoli. The month did not start well, in both the Champions League and Serie A. However two impressive last games in Serie A does not make the month a disaster for Napoli. Their Champions League dream definitely looks over after three defeats in the group stage with three games left.

Player of the Month
Clarence Seedorf

The Serie A favourite looks like a very inspired signing by AVB. Seedorf has been an all rounder for Napoli this month and has started much more games due to his consistently good performances. He has also managed to start scoring goals from midfield which is very encouraging to see.
Looks like you're doing pretty well in Serie A :)

Also, in your two most recent updates both have the header of "September Update"

I'm pleased with how things are going in Serie A. Dissapointed with Champions League but I think we are quite far away from getting to the quality we need to be to have a realistic chance of getting far in the Champions League - still a Europa League team in my opinion - that's why I'm looking to build for the future.

And oh yeah, I made a mistake - thanks for pointing it out mate.
Really good start mate! will be following

All in all a good month for Napoli. Unbeaten in Serie A which included a draw with the Italian powerhouses Juventus. Unfortunately they have been knocked out of the champions league in the group stage but they did their best this month with a win over Zenit. Being knocked out in the group stage however brings added pressure on AVB to achieve a good position in Serie A

Player of the Month
Aymen Abdennour
http://www.africatopsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/aymen_abdennour.jpg
Tunisian star is new at Napoli, brought in for depth. Abdennour has certainly stepped up more than people first expected and as worked himself into being a contender for a regular starting place in the first team. Playing the majority of the games this month he has been extremely solid at the back and was Napoli's best player against the massive Manchester United.

Yet Another Injury Blow for Napoli

New signing Jose Callejon joined from Real Madrid in the summer. The youngster has been criticised for his lack of goals since joining Napoli, however AVB has kept faith with Callejon and stated to the press that "Jose's primary job at Napoli is a winger and not a striker, meaning bags of goals do not have to be scored by Jose. The boy is young and is adapting to a new type of football over in Italy. He has been performing at a consistent level and I am proud of him so far." In light of these comments it will come as a big blow to Villas-Boas that Callejon will be out for 5-6 weeks after picking up an injury against Udinese.

December Review
An absolutely outstanding month for Napoli. What started off as a poor month with a surprise loss in the Serie A against Sassuolo then led to straight wins against tough opponents. The most impressive of wins came away against Atletico Madrid - the Napoli boys did not write off the game simply because they were already out of the cup, AVB was said to be "proud of the lads" and deservedly so. AVB has entered Italy impressively with many teams around Europe taking note of his accomplishments and keeping an eye on the Napoli outfit. Napoli are sitting in a very healthy first place in Serie A and will also be having plans on a good Italian Cup and Europa League campaign.

Player of the Month
Valon Behrami

Valon Behrami is deservedly awarded Napoli's player of the month. AVB has said "Valon is our rock in the centre of midfield, he has creativity and vision I have never seen before in a player with such great defensive qualities." Behrami picked up Man of the Match on two occasions this month, including against Atletico Madrid. However Behrami has picked up his second suspension of the year due to collecting yet another 5 cards - "his agression is something Valon needs to work on" AVB stated, however his aggression does often help Napoli in the centre of the pitch and he certainly often controls the midfield leading to impressive performances for Napoli as a whole.

Andre Villas-Boas Handed New Contract At Napoli

Andre-Villas Boas has stated he has signed a new deal with Napoli which will see him stay till atleast June 2016 accompanied by seeing his wage rise to £34k p/w as a reward for his highly impressive start to his Napoli managerial career.
The negotiations were handled by the club chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis who is said to be absloutely delighted with the extended contract of AVB. De Laurentiis also stated that Napoli have increased his transfer revenue for the remainder of the season to £15million as they are confident he will use the money to great advantage for Napoli. With this increase in transfer revenue it is likely AVB will bring in one or two fresh faces to Naples this January.

Winter Break - Qatar Training Camp
Napoli's team were treated to a break in Qatar over the winter break. The team seemed in bright spirits and enjoyed a nice break only playing one friendly game against Qatar side Al-Sadd.

Friendly Match

Total domination - all that is needed to be said. Napoli are a force to be reckoned with across the world at the moment and AVB is keen to continue this.

AVB Learning From the Best

It has been a very good season so far for Napoli under there young manager Andre Villas-Boas. Bringing in young talent it is clear AVB is looking to grow Napoli into a terrifying outfit, and it looks like he's getting advice from who is one of the greatest manager's currently, Pep Guardiola.

AVB appeared relaxed and happy as he and Guardiola spent time presumably discussing tactics and the perils of a modern football manager whilst both on training camps in Qatar.

The former Spurs and Chelsea boss and current Napoli Manager also met Bayern stars Franck Ribery, Thiago Alcantara, Dante Bonfrm and Claudio Pizarro at the end of a practice session for the German giants.
But AVB wasn't the only interested spectator at Bayern training camp, with Spain and Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez, who also spent a couple of season at Bayern's rivals Schalke, there to cast his eye over the training session.
It was a short trip to the training camp for Raul, who now plays his football for Al Sadd in the Qatar Stars League.

Andre Villas-Boas seems determined to create a formidable outfit over in Italy. With the disappointment of his teams Champions League campaign it is clear he is determined to improve for the future. Napoli have certainly got a well-respected manager in charge and the decision to hire is so far looking like a great investment.

Life is Good Over in Naples

http://www.sambafoot.com/datas/pictures/informations/2014-01/big/info_1389608606.jpg
Napoli Club Captain, Paolo Cannavaro, has had an exclusive interview with Sky Sports.
"Life is very good over here. The players, the staff, and the manager are all in good spirits. The key to our success is the hard work everyone at the club is willing to put in"
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/10/25/article-2053244-0E86D68900000578-689_468x426.jpg
"I'm pleased that our Chairman has handed Andre an extended contract. We are of a similar age and get on extremely well. He has already brought great success to this club, and in my opinion he is the perfect man for this job. Our chairman is a hard man to please, he is a highly ambitious man - a great quality - but AVB has certainly impressed him."
http://www.regista-blog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/SanPaolo.jpg
"Me, my manager, my fellow team mates, and everyone at the club is dissapointed with our Champions League Campaign. However the group we were handed was extremely tough - i'm not making excuses, I still believe we can compete with Europe's best. We now have a chance to make amends in the Europa League which everyone at the Club is determined to do."

"Serie A was and is the main priority this season. Andre is new to the club, he has time to build this magnificent club into one of the greatest clubs of all time. He's only been here half a season and we are sitting at the top of the table, think about what could happen in 5 years. It was unrealistic to say we could go all the way in the Champions League this season - but the whole club believe the future will see this happen - that is the aim."

Higuian Taking Time to Settle

http://images.mid-day.com/2013/dec/Gonzalo-Higuain.jpg
Gonzalo Higuian joined Napoli from Real Madrid in the summer for a reported £34million. With such a collosal fee Napoli fans were expecting a lot of goals. But with only 3 goals to his name at the beginning of January it seems Higuain is taking time to get used to Italian football. AVB has told Sky "Higuian is a player of immense quality. Rafa signed him in the summer for a reason - he scores goals - unfortunately it his taking him time but with the clubs backing we can get Gonzalo to deliver what he is capable of."

Eduardo Vargas, a talented striker, has returned from loan where he scored 14 goals in 34 games for Gremio. It is thought Villas-Boas may give Vargas a chance to establish a place in the First Team in the coming months.
