Who is Oliver Kahn?

Oliver Rolf Kahn, nicknamed "Der Titan", born 15 June 1969, is a former German football goalkeeper. He started his career in the Karlsruher SC Junior team in 1975. Twelve years later, Kahn made his debut match in the professional squad. In 1994, he was transferred to Bayern Munich for the fee of Deutsche Mark 4.6 million, where he played until the end of his career in 2008.

Kahn is one of the most successful German players in recent history, having won eight German championships, six German cups, the UEFA Cup in 1996, the UEFA Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup, both achieved in 2001. His individual contributions have earned him four consecutive UEFA Best European Goalkeeper awards, three IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper awards, and two German Footballer of the Year trophies. At the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Kahn became the first and only goalkeeper in the tournament's history to win the Golden Ball.

From 1994 to 2006, Kahn was part of the German national team, in which he played as a starter after the retirement of Andreas Köpke. In the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the team reached the final. While Germany was several times derided for their poor performance, Kahn's prowess proved to be the deciding factor in several games up until the final, where Germany lost 0–2 to Brazil. He was named the tournament's best player and received the Golden Ball award.

Why was Oliver Kahn the chosen one?

First of all, I don't like Bayern Munchen. I hate Bayern Munchen. But, I can only show respect for a legend that Oliver was and is. So, knowing him as a football addict, I decided to write a story with Oliver having a new job, the Head Coach job. I want to make my Deutsch Titan a top Head Coach and I'm sure that I'll do that!

Why Newcastle?

I wasn't decided about the league, to be honest. But, having to choice between Spain and England, I chosen England for sure, because having bad luck with my Sociedad save. Newcastle is probably the "second love of my life", after Lazio. I used to watch this team's matches since I was seven and I supported them along the time with no matter if they played on the nPower or Premier League. So, that's the story: a former German legend bringing a beautiful English team. What can be bad in that?

I'm very sad about losing the save at Sociedad but i'll try to do my best at Newcastle.

News soon, guys! Hope to see you people following me!

Rumours confirmed! Pardew resigns, Kahn in Newcastle takeover

http://i.wp.pl/a/f/jpeg/30378/oliver_kahn_grudzien12_660.jpeg

Oliver Kahn signed this morning a contract until first of July 2014 with Newcastle. So, after some rumours with him taking Newcastle just after the predictable resign of Alan Pardew, he signed a deal at St. James'. It's Kahn's first coach job so no one anticipates him to do some impact at Newcastle, in a league like Premier is but he looks confident about Newcastle's chances.

"I didn't felt that I can continue at Newcastle anymore. I feel that's the time for a break. I wish mr. Kahn good luck. He is new in this job and he needs it!" declared the 52 years old Alan Pardew.

Oliver Kahn is known for being the first and the only goalkeeper to win the Golden Ball, now the FIFA Ballon d'Or. The 44 years old German arrived at Newcastle this morning and he looked very positive in his speech:

"I can't believe that my first coach job is a job in the English Premier League. It's a huge challenge for me but Newcastle is a beautiful team with great players and I'm confident we will make an impact this season. Mr. Make Ashley has a lot of faith in me so what can I say? That's great. Newcastle needs to play in the European Cups next season and I will make everything I can to bring them there. I need to prove now that I shouldn't be viewed as a interim so in my one year of contract I really need to make wonders here!"

For the entire press conference Oliver Kahn looked happy and excited, probably because of his football addiction.

Being asked about the hard parts of a former goalkeeper to implement in a tactic, he said: "I think I have a great experience and even if I'm at the first coach job and people expect a lot from me, it won't be dificult to implement a beautiful way of play!".
Good luck :)

P-KIDDY Thanks man, hope I'll have it!

Tim Krul, one of the best Premier League keepers in Kahn's vision

Having a former goalkeeper as a Head Coach, Krul seems to be a very lucky keeper. The 44 years old german coach declared that he admires very much Tim Krul and he is looking forward to work with him.

Timothy Michael "Tim" Krul, born 3 April 1988, is a Dutch footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for English club Newcastle United and the Netherlands national team.

Krul started his professional career at Newcastle United in 2006, having previously played for the team's youth academy, as well as ADO Den Haag and Hvv RAS youth teams. Initially third choice behind Shay Given and Steve Harper, he spent the 2007–08 season on loan to Falkirk, and the following season on loan to Carlisle United, making 26 and nine appearances respectively. Although initially a backup goalkeeper to Harper, injuries to the latter during the 2010–11 season saw Krul break into the team, and he eventually became the number one.

Krul represented the Netherlands at every level from the under-15s to the under-21s between 2002 and 2011. He made his debut for the full national team in July 2011, and has since gone on to make four further appearances for his country.

"His injury will make our July month hard, but I trust the youngster Elliot!"

These were Kahn's words after his first day at Newcastle. Having a number of three important players like Krul, Haidara and the 26 years old loaned from Q.P.R striker Remy injured, Newcastle looks vulnerable in front of a July full of friendlies.

"The doctors told me that Krul will be at hill full fitness when the league will start, but about Haidara and Remy the things are worse. They're about two our three months each to stay. Even with these injuries, I'm sure that we will prepare well for the Premier League start." declared Kahn.

Kahn snubs offer for Cisse. "Jorge Jesus should look elsewhere!"

http://soccerlens.com/files/2013/07/Papiss-Cisse.jpg

It's looking like Newcastle players are targets for Europe's major clubs. "We're a major club" looks to be a motto for NU's chairman Mike Ashley and the the new boss's Oliver Kahn.

The first offer came for Papiss Cisse, the 28 years old striker from Senegal. SLB's boss Jorge Jesus wanted him especially and made a bid of around £8M. The bid was imediatelly rejected by Oliver Kahn, considering that Papiss Cisse is an indispensable player of the club.

Papiss Demba Cissé (born 3 June 1985) is a Senegalese footballer who plays as a striker for Newcastle United and the Senegal national team. He holds the record of most goals scored by an African player in a single Bundesliga campaign – 22 league goals in the 2010–11 season. That same season, Cissé won the EFFIFU award for being the most efficient striker in the league.

On 21 January 2012, Cissé signed for Newcastle United on a five-and-a-half-year deal for an estimated fee in the region of £9 million, linking up with fellow Senegal striker Demba Ba in the process. He was subsequently handed the number 9 shirt. On 5 February, Cissé made his debut for Newcastle in the 2–1 league win against Aston Villa at St James' Park. He replaced the injured Leon Best in the 14th minute before scoring the winning goal in the 71st minute. On 11 February, he made his first start for the club in the 5–0 away league defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. On 25 February, he scored in the 6th minute in a 2–2 home draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. On 25 March, he scored two first-half goals in Newcastle's 3–1 league victory against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns, but he was denied a hat-trick early in the second half by a save by West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster. Cissé's brace against West Brom made him the quickest player since Les Ferdinand to hit the five-goal mark for Newcastle.

Cissé scored his sixth and seventh goals, against Liverpool in a 2–0 home win. He scored a third consecutive brace at Liberty Stadium in a 2–0 away win against Swansea City on 6 April, bringing his tally to 9 goals in 8 games. This made him Newcastle United's most prolific goals per game scorer of all time ahead of Hughie Gallacher. On 9 April, he scored his 10th goal in nine games for Newcastle against Bolton Wanderers in a 2–0 home win. On 21 April, Cissé scored his 11th goal in 10 games during a 3–0 win against Stoke City. He then managed to score his 12th and 13th Premier League goals in a 2–0 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 2 May 2012, the second of which he curled the ball with the outside his foot from thirty seven yards out. Cissé described the goal as the best of his career, and was subsequently chosen as the BBC's Goal of the Season.

On 4 July 2012, it was reported that Newcastle United had blocked an offer from the Senegalese FA for Cissé to play for Senegal at 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The reason behind the decision was that Newcastle wanted their key striker fit for a tough season ahead, playing European football. Cissé scored his first goal in the 2012–13 season with a header in the League Cup against Manchester United. He scored Newcastle's third goal in their Europa League defeat of Bordeaux on 4 October 2012, Newcastle's 100th game in European competition. He scored his Premier League goal of the season in a 2–1 win over West Bromwich Albion on 28 October 2012, as a shot taken by Sammy Ameobi deflected off Cissé and into the net. The striker's scoring was scarce throughout the opening four months of the season, only scoring his second league goal of the season on 28 November, a 2–1 away defeat to Stoke City.

After compatriot Demba Ba was left out of the squad because of his prospected move to European champions Chelsea in the January transfer window, he started against Everton alongside Shola Ameobi and scored a header in the second minute in a 2–1 defeat on 2 January 2013. Cissé scored a spectacular 25-yard volley in Newcastle's 4–2 win over Southampton on 24 February, helping the club come from behind to secure a crucial victory over fellow relegation strugglers. Cissé scored an injury time winner at home to Stoke City on 10 March, sending Newcastle into 13th place and nine points above the relegation places. On 14 March, in the second leg Europa League Round of 16 tie at home to Anzhi Makhachkala, the Senegalese striker headed in a 94th minute winner as Newcastle progressed to the quarter-finals with a 1–0 aggregate victory. Cissé celebrated the goal by lashing out at an advertising hoarding behind the goal – just as former Newcastle player Temuri Ketsbaia had done after scoring a late winner against Bolton Wanderers in 1998.

Cissé also scored the first goal in a 3–1 loss away to Benfica in the first leg of Newcastle's Europa League quarter-final. On 7 April 2013, he scored an injury time winner in a 1–0 victory over Fulham, causing him to jump into the crowd and send manager Alan Pardew running in also, in celebration. Cissé scored his fourth goal of the Europa League campaign in a 1–1 home draw with Benfica (sending Newcastle out of the competition, 4–2 on aggregate).

Since Oliver Kahn arrived at Newcastle, Papiss Cisse is looking to be a key man for the Club from Tyne.

"Monaco also wants him, but they need to know that we won't sell Papiss!"

These were Kahn's words about Cisse's transfer. He said that to our journalists last evening:

"Newcastle players are very talented players and the entire Europe knows that. What's good for us is that Mike Ashley also is familiar with this kind of players and he isn't willing to accept offers for them. I'm sure that we will have offers for more players but I will sell only the players who I consider won't get many football here. About Papiss, i snubbed Benfica's offer because a striker like him, even at 28 years old is likely to score a lot of goals. Monaco also wants him, but they need to know that we won't sell Papiss! We'll be in some transfer moves soon, but now we need to focus about our friendlies and the season preparation!".

So, we are waiting for Newcastle to be involved in some transfer news. Rumours are saying that Kahn placed some three or four players on the transfer list so we can expect some names leaving St. James' this Summer. Who will they be? Who will Newcastle buy?

Crazy transfer market! Newcastle snubbing bids and ready to exchange Marveaux for German youngster

After rejecting offers for Papiss Cisse, Kahn looks to be decided! Both Arsenal and Tottenham made official bids for the 23 years old Italian left defender Davide Santon, and the German legend snubbed them both.

"Kahn is a tough negociator and it can be only good for Newcastle. Unfortunately for us, they won't sell Santon and we really want him." declared Arsenal's boss Arsene Wenger.

"What a great player we missed! I'm sure Santon won't attract bids only from us and Arsenal. He's a very good left back. Wish him good luck at Newcastle!" said Tottenham boss Andre Villas Boas.

The bids for Santon were rumoured to be around £7.75M.

Davide Santon, born 2 January 1991, is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Newcastle United, and for the Italian national team. He started his career as a right sided attacker later reverting to an attacking full back who can play on both sides, and is known for his energetic runs down the flank.

On 30 August 2011, Santon signed for English club Newcastle United on a five-year contract, for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £5.3m. He instantly struck a chord with the Toon Army when he cheekily confessed he’d "never seen a Mackem in Milan". (Intimating that Newcastle United's local rivals Sunderland, never qualify to play in European competitions). He made his Newcastle debut on 16 October 2011 as a second half substitute against Tottenham Hotspur. He went on to make his first league start for the club in December away to Norwich City, before making his full home debut the next week against Swansea City. He set up Papiss Cisse's first brilliant goal in the magpies's shock win at Chelsea in the 19th minute. Halfway through the 2012–2013 season Santon is the only Newcastle United player to have started every league game, and in the 3–2 win over Chelsea on 2 February 2013, Santon assisted the first goal with a cross for Jonas Gutierrez and the winning goal scored by Moussa Sissoko.

Marveaux set to leave for an exchange?

http://img.thesun.co.uk/aidemitlum/archive/01329/55_sylv_1329107a.jpg http://www.waz-online.de/var/storage/images/waz-az/wolfsburg/waz-sport/vfl-wolfsburg/verliert-der-vfl-sein-top-talent/53439861-1-ger-DE/Verliert-der-VfL-sein-Top-Talent_ArtikelHoch.jpg

A rumour is being vehiculated around Newcastle's market period: Marveaux is about leaving. Now, the 27 years old attacking midfielder is a target for VfL Wolfsburg, acordint to BILD. But, knowing that the 17 years old Julian Brandt is a target for Newcastle, will we see an exchange?

"If the boss considers that I should leave because I won't get many football here I will. I know Julian Brandt and Newcastle is looking for future. It will be good for them for Julian to come and if the board decides to exchange me with him I won't be sad." declared Marveaux.

Sylvain Marveaux, born 15 April 1986, is a French football player who currently plays for English club Newcastle United in the Premier League. He can play a variety of positions in the midfield, but is mostly utilized as a left-sided midfielder or an attacking midfielder. Marveaux is a former French under-21 international having earned caps with the team from 2006–2008. He is the younger brother of Joris Marveaux, who currently plays for Montpellier.

"Brandt would be a phenom in any world league. I haven't ever seen a player at 17 years old to have his qualities!"

These were Oliver Kahn's words before arriving at Newcastle. So, after he took the job is rumoured to be interested in the 17 years old wonder kid. Will this move be granded?

Gosling and Williamson left Newcastle

The first two players sold by Oliver Kahn are the 23 years old midfielder Dan Gosling and the 29 years old central defender Mike Williamson.

Daniel "Dan" Gosling, born 1 February 1990, is an English footballer who plays for Newcastle United as a centre midfielder, right midfielder or right fullback. Gosling is a versatile player, having operated as a box-to-box midfielder on several occasions and occasionally deputised at right back to accommodate substitutions. Before signing for Newcastle he played for Plymouth Argyle and Everton.

Now, Dan Gosling signed a deal until July 2016 with Blackpool, the Seasiders paying a fee of around £1M for Gosling.

Michael James "Mike" Williamson, born 8 November 1983, is an English footballer who plays for Premier League club Newcastle United as a defender. He signed for Newcastle from Portsmouth on 27 January 2010.

Williamson is now sold to Crystal Palace for a fee of around £1M and he signed a deal for 2 years.

"We have big plans here and I considered that selling them is benefic for our club. We gained a healthy profit from these sells so the situation is good for both Newcastle and the players. I'm sure that they understand the situation and I only want to wish them good luck at their new clubs!" declared Oliver Kahn.

Marveaux travelled to Germany this morning

http://news.images.itv.com/image/file/124005/article_fa65e2ad8b19d60b_1353622298_9j-4aaqsk.jpeg

Seen at the Braunschweig Airport, Sylvain Marveaux is rumoured to sign this evening with VfL Wolfsburg in the exchange with the wonder kid Julian Brandt.

Newcastle are in big plans this market, so we can expect further moves to St. James'.
It would be a good move to get Brandt in. I wonder if other Germans will follow him ;)
2
P-KIDDY Yeah, I also think it will be. About the other Germans, I only look to buy the best players. If I will find a German good player I will especially buy him.

Newcastle signed Wolfsburg's Julian Brandt for a record fee for an youngster

http://bilder.bild.de/fotos-skaliert/fussball_28570006_mbqf-1379881902-32511140/2,w=650,c=0.bild.jpg

Now it's official! Julian Brandt signed a deal until July 2016 with English club Newcastle FC, the new Oliver Kahn's team. Men like Jose Mourinho praised Brandt's talent before, but the 44 years old Oliver Kahn insisted for his buying. The fee paid for Brandt is looking to be a record, considering he is a seventeen years old player: a total amount of £12.5M (Newcastle paid £5M and gave in exchange Marveaux, who's asking price was about £7.5M). So, Mike Ashley and Oliver Kahn are looking to have a lot of faith in Brandt, considering the fee they paid for him.

Julian Brandt, born 2 May 1996 in Bremen, is a left winger who's talent is knowed around all the Europe. He is an U-19 Germany international.

"I didn't bought him because he is German especially but I bought him because of his talent. What else can I desire when I have Adam Campbell and now Julian Brandt? Newcastle is about growing some great players and I won't stop buying talents as long as I'm here!" declared in an optimistic way Oliver Kahn.

"The amount of money paid for me is not important. Important is how I will play and if I'll confirm my talent. To work with a former German legend is great for me, it will be a motivation lift to become a German star!" said Brandt.

Marveaux happy with his new club, VfL Wolfsburg

http://fansonline.net/images/newcastleunited/Sylvain-Marveaux-Liverpool-Pre-Contract.jpg

Sended at Wolfsburg by Newcastle in exchange for Julian Brendt, Sylvain Marveaux is looking forward to play at Wolfsburg.

"I had three great years at Newcastle and I gained a lot of respect for this club. I respect Oliver Kahn's decision and Brandt is one for future, for sure. I wish them good luck and I hope that I will play a very good football in Germany." declared the 27 years old Wolfsburg's French offensive midfielder Marveaux.

BREAKING. Marveaux happy with Wolfsburg, not happy with the contract. Brandt deal to fail?

http://modernreject.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/question-mark.jpg

Some rumours are coming from Wolfsburg, where Marveaux traveled to be presented to the fans and to sign the deal. After declaring that he is happy with Newcastle signing Brandt and he's looking forward to play in Germany, Marveaux is now rumoured to not agree with the contract offered by Wolfsburg's board.

"I don't know who's unprofessional here, Marveaux with his demands or Wolfsburg's board with their wage offer. Anyway, Julian is in England and we hope not to be needed to send him back." declared Oliver Kahn.

What's going to happen with the deal?

OFFICIAL. Brandt deal withdrawn by Marveaux's demands

Julian Brandt was seen this evening at the Newcastle Airport with his agant Samir Hartmann, who declared: "Marveaux's demands were too big for Wolfsburg's finances so he didn't even negociated with them. Newcastle didn't wanted to pay a fee of £12.5M and keep Marveaux so the deal is now broken. My client wanted to play at Newcastle, so did Marveaux with Wolfsburg, but where the finances aren't strong the situation ends like this. Maybe, in one day, Julian will play at Newcastle, who knows?".

So, after signed the deal with Newcastle, Brandt's contract was broken because of Marveaux's exchange demands. Can we expect Marveaux leaving elsewhere soon and Newcastle to be in move for another player? News to be provided soon.
