Sadio Mané

Sadio was stunning this month. Scoring at his first match at Newcastle, against Guangzhou and bringing us a deserved point in the first Premier League fixture in the Tyne-wear derby, Mané proved in August that he deserves every penny Oliver Kahn paid for him.

Oliver Kahn's analysis

http://www.jewornotjew.com/img/people/o/oliver_kahn.jpg

"We don't know what lose means this season but we neither won in the Premier League. We were very unlucky this month and we should work more at finishing. I'm happy for qualifying in the next Capital One's cup but from September I expect some English Premier wins to go up in the table. Sadio Mané was a cracker for us this month. I'm very proud of him and I expect his good plays to continue."

Newcastle to face Stoke in the Capital One Cup

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Sport/Pix/pictures/2012/6/1/1338509443925/The-League-Cup-on-show-at-008.jpg

Newcastle will play Stoke City in the Capital One Cup Third Round. Newcastle has been drawn as the home team in the match so the game will be played at St. James' Park on Tuesday 24th September 2013.

Stoke City won the competition one time in their 150 year history back in 1972. The current holders of the competition are Swansea City.

"We got to revenge for the Premier League draw. We deserved to win that match so we'll make anything possible to defeat Stoke in the Cup. I have to regonize, that was a tough draw. We could have a easier rival but to be honest, I'm happy with Stoke tie on St. James'." declared Toon boss Oliver Kahn.

"Newcastle is an ambitious team at all and we saw it in the League match. It was a tough draw and will be hard for us to qualify." declared Mark Hughes, the Stoke's Manager.

Villas Boas snubbed in the last day of Transfer Market

http://e2.365dm.com/12/09/660x350/Davide-Santon_2829666.jpg

Transfer Deadline Day: the last Summer day for English teams to make moves. After snubbing about five offers for Santon, here came the sixth for the Newcastle's board: £13M was about Tottenham's Portuguese manager André Villas-Boas to pay. As always this season, Oliver Kahn didn't even listened to the offer and looked like he isn't willing to sell Santon even for some billions.

The £13M offer is the biggest ready-to-pay fee for Santon this Summer, after Arsene Wenger, Jurgen Klopp and Villas Boas twice were snubbed by Kahn.

"I have nothing to say about it. I declared what I had to declare about Santon leaving. He won't." said Kahn. When he was asked about any further moves in the Deadline Day, he answered: "I need a few players more in. If I'll have one of them in these hours, it will be great. If it is not possible, I'll try to sign them in the next transfer period.".

Adam Campbell, the first official goal under Kahn's wing

http://www.nufcblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Adam-Campbell.png

The 18 years old youngster Adam Campbell scored his first goal after Oliver Kahn's Newcastle takeover in the Capital One Cup match against Leyton Orient with a fantastic strike from almost the penalty spot.

"Adam is a great prospect for future, his potential can lead him to become one of the best strikers neither from Newcastle, nor from England but from Europe. These Capital One Cup matches against lower teams are great ocasions to test him. Hope he'll keep the good plays for us!" declared the optimistic Kahn.

Adam Campbell, born 1 January 1995, is an English footballer who plays as a striker and winger.

Born in North Shields and attended St Bernadette's R.C Primary School in Wallsend and St Thomas More R.C High School in North Shields from 2006-2011,He is also a practicing Roman Catholic, Campbell is regarded as a big prospect for the future both with Newcastle and England, drawing comparisons with Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen. He is a product of Whitley Bay Boys Club.

Campbell won the Most Valuable Player award at the 2010 Nike Cup at Old Trafford. In addition, Campbell was awarded Premier Player of the Tournament at the 2012 Milk Cup.

He made his competitive debut against Atromitos in the UEFA Europa League on 23 August 2012, becoming the youngest player to play for Newcastle in European competitions. Campbell made his Premier League debut for Newcastle United on 10 March 2013, taking up a position on the left wing. He came off the bench late in the second half in a 2–1 win against Stoke City, making a pass to Sylvain Marveaux who assisted Papiss Cissé for the winner.
Rocky start to the season but you remain unbeaten. Interesting stance on Santon too. Whenever he's moved to other clubs in my saves, he's never quite succeeded. Hopefully by keeping him, you can keep him performing for the Toon :)

What a month the experienced Fabricio had for us. Scoring a total of three decisive goals and creating a wall in the defence, Coloccini helped us go trough in the Capital One Cup and at our win against Swansea and at the draw against Liverpool. That's a well deserved award from Newcastle's board.

Oliver Kahn's analysis

http://www.telegraphindia.com/1080313/images/13kahn1.jpg

"The first three matches of the month were top stuff results for us. Winning against Swansea in the Premier, throwing Stoke out of the Capital One and drawing with Liverpool, these results were absolutelly briliant. Against Manchester, that match was a very hard one, especially because we played on the Old Trafford. Anyway, I'm dissapointed because I felt that we can take a draw. I hope us to manage to win more matches in October and about the Capital One Cup, anything is possible. I'm waiting for the Cup Draw."

Kahn's Newcastle will face Capital One Cup current holders, Swansea

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02592/capital-one_2592097b.jpg

Newcastle will face Swansea in the Capital One Cup Fourth Round. Swansea have been drawn as the home team in the match so the game will be played at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday 30th October 2013. In the last round, Newcastle thrown out Stoke at the penalty shoot-out, while Swansea defeated Brighton with an easy 2-0.

Swansea are the current holders of the competition, having won in 2013.

"We defeated them on Liberty last month but we need to be pacient in the Cup. They're the current holders so Swans have a honour to defend. Not the toughest possible, but it was a tough draw at all." declared Oliver Kahn.

"The Newcastle curse has to be stopped. We'll make anything possible to defeat them and to keep the Cup ours. Tough, but not the toughest draw." declared the optimistic Swansea boss Michael Laudrup.

Ben Arfa suffers hernia at training

According to the Newcastle officials, the French 26 years old Hatem Ben Arfa suffered an injury in training and is expected to be out for about five or six weeks.

So, the French right winger will miss the entire October month and Newcastle will have a not at all easy job to replace him.

Ben Arfa arrived at St. James' in 2011 for an undisclosed fee from OM, rumoured to be arround 4.3M Pounds.

"We have a bunch of hard matches in what's following and Hatem's indisponibility is a hard hit for us. Anyway, we have good players like Goufrann, Rémy or Obertan for his replacement and I hope them to do it well. declared Oliver Kahn.

"I feel bad for Ben Arfa and all the squad is waiting him back as soon as possible. It will be a hard job for me if I will be chosed to replace him, but I hope that I can do it well." said Yoan Goufrann.
Ben Arfa, a great loss for your team. ! Will surely miss him ..

Mourinho: "If we defeat Newcastle, Kahn will be sacked"

Still in his well-known stile, José Mourinho is applying pressure on his next rivals from Premier, Newcastle. Declaring that he doesn't like Kahn's style, Mourinho looked confident about a win at St. James' and sure about Kahn getting fired after that match.

"It doesn't matter if Ben Arfa is or not playing. Newcastle are an easy team to defeat, but we need to concentrate on this match only because we're playing away. We have big plans and a win against a manager like Kahn is absolutelly necessary. I think that after we'll defeat Newcastle he'll be sacked." declared the last month's Premier League best manager, the 50 years old Portuguese José Mourinho.

"I don't care what Mourinho thinks or says. Do I look like I do? We're the underdogs but Chelsea must consider that we're playing home, next to our great fans. I have a great relationship with Mike Ashley and only him knows my faith here, especially not an arrogant manager like this <<special>> Mourinho. I'm looking to defeat Chelsea, these words really embarased me. If he wanted to apply pressure, I don't feel anything. Maybe a better motivation!" said an angry Oliver Kahn in response.

Chelsea are currently 7th in the Premier League with 11 points, while Newcastle are 11th, with 7 points.
P-KIDDY Certainly hope so. Santon is a crack for the Toon.

bebero Yes, Hatem is a very good player. Hope I'll do good despite his indisponibility.
I think you can produce a surprise to the Chelsea ! Good luck !

Fabricio was outstanding again. Bringing us two fantastic wins against Chelsea and Aston Villa, Coloccini is the top scorer of the team and probably one of the best defenders in the Premier League. Unfortunatelly, he missed the Swansea game and we won't have him probably for a long time after getting injured against Aston Villa.

Oliver Kahn's analysis

"Shutting Mourinho's big mouth and defeating Swansea in the Capital One after a heart-attack match were some cracks from our team. What a month could it be with a draw at Emirates... We look better any passed month and I'm confident that we will be better in November, considering we'll have Ben Arfa fully fit. Unfortunatelly, Fabricio Coloccini will be out for a few weeks so we have to deal with the Premier League matches without our top scorer."
