Celtic Stun Atletico

Celtic once again stunned Europe with a 2-1 victory against Atletico Madrid at Celtic Park. Atletico arrived in Glasgow with confidence with an unbeaten start to their Liga BBVA campaign. However, it was Celtic who came out with all three points. Celtic took the lead through striker Teemu Pukki after 20 minutes. The Finland striker was played through by Jem Karacan and slipped the ball under the advancing Courtois who could only watch the ball nestle in his bottom corner.

Celtic doubled their lead in the fourth minute of the second half thanks to a goal from midfielder Nir Biton after a mistake from Atletico defender Juanfran. Atletico controlled the game but were unable to break the strong celtic defence. David Villa pulled a goal back in the 89th minute with a lovely curling effort into the top corner. In Germany Bayern won 2-0 against Olympiakos after goals from Toni Kroos and David Alaba

Celtic Remain Unbeaten

Celtic head into their third Champions League game tomorrow against Bayern still unbeaten in all competitions. Two months into the season and the Hoops lie top of the Scottish Premiership and second in Champions League group D. But many sections of the media feel that this unbeaten run will come to an end as they travel to Germany, during Neil Lennon's pre-match press conference he stated, "I am extremely proud of the players and how they have started the season but there is still room to improve. We head to Germany in a positive mood and once again are underdogs and won't be expected to earn any points, however, we have proven many people wrong with our results in the group so far and hopefully we can provide a shock."

The Celtic manager won this months manager of the month award and striker Danny Ings won player of the month after scoring 4 league goals in 5 games.
A very good start unbeaten, and a win over Atletico! Congratulations, and keep up the good work!
