Scotland Hire Kenny Dalglish

Dalglish at recent Scotland match

The SFA have announced the appointment of Scotland all time top goal scorer Kenny Dalglish as their new manager. After the departure of Craig Levein in 2012.

The former celtic and liverpool manager and player has has a very successful footballing career whislt playing and managing.

Dalglish who at club level has scored over 200 goals and is the most capped and joint highest goal scorer for Scotland is clearly suitable for the job and has spoken to the media today saying how proud he is to have the opportunity to lead his club to glory (hopefully).

Scotland who lie 4th in their group for the world cup qualifications have a tough few games ahead against teams like Croatia and Belgium.Dalglish admits it will be a significant test for his players.

Dalglish was asked about his selection criteria, he replied by saying "I take the players to the matches that i see deserve the chance at the next level, They will have to be on good form if they want to be selected, I will not call a player up just because he plays for a big club, he has to earn the right.

FA and SFA reach agreement

The FA and SFA have today reached an agreement for Scotland to play against England in Glasgow on the 19TH of November. The legendary rivalry has existed ever since the two sides met for the first time in 1872.Also due to their Geographical locations both sides have learned to dislike each other over the last 100+ Years.

The SFA also made statement today saying that the idea was manager Kenny Dalglish' desire to play England whilst he was in charge.

The Scotland and england fans are both relishing the chance of meeting each other on the pitch and tickets for the match are already low on availability after going on sale today. Some are going on auction sites for several hundreds of pounds more than original value.

Money from tickets sales etc, will go to each Association depending on the deal they struck.
Thanks for the support guys.

TodayAtTomorrow Yeah hopefully i can do the tartan army proud

Josh7798 Yeah its decent, Some good youngsters too!

Bob Yeah bit optimistic but hopefully it can be achieved later on in the save, that would be a miracle XD
WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

Scotland vs Croatia

Teams-

A strong squad from croatia but no as strong a team as Dalglish would like but he has a few key players out like maloney and forrest

The Result:

An amazing result, this puts us in with a good chance of qualifying although we will need to hope croatia mess up or that we canover come Belgium.

The group:

The group is seven games in as when i started the new save it was already past when the qualifiers started.

other results in group:

Belgium 0-1 Wales
Macedonia 1-1 Serbia
Fletcher is a really good forward but I hope you play Jordan Rhodes more, absolute beast!
I'm an Englishmen but prefer the Scotland National team and actually support the Scotland National team (I am part Scottish). I will definitely be following this story, good luck and I hope you can win some shizz with Scotland :)
Josh7798 Yeah im sure i will, Blackburn had put in a request that he should only play 45 minutes, so i just decided to leave him on the bench for the full match.

Cameroncox96 Thanks hope yyou will continue to enjoy the story, And its good to see you like Scotland more than England!

Scotland stun Belgium

Scotland fans are tonight partying in Belgium after an extraordinary win over group favourites Belgium. The Scots went into the match looking for a point but came away with three after a 3-2 win.

Scott Brown and Charlie Adam put the Scots into half time with a 2-0 lead, but Scotland let it slip and by the 65th minute things were all square after goals from De Bruyne and Kompany.

Belgium thought they had done enough to secure at least a draw until the 82nd minute when Kompany turned from Hero to Villain with an own goal from a Charlie Mulgrew corner.

Manager Kenny Dalglish describe the win as something dreams are made of and that he and his team are inwonderland right now after the performance they have given.

This result leaves the boys in blue joint second only behind on goals difference.

Man of the match for the second game running was vice captain Scott Brown of Celtic with a goal in each game and also being a rock in the midfield

The manager has made 3 new call ups with some other players also returning.

The 3 call ups are Iain Vigurs(Motherwell),Stephen Crainey(Wigan) and matt phillips(QPR).
The three new faces have all been outstanding form for their clubs and Dalglish obviously feels its good enough for a call up to the international team.

Squad:

Notable absences due to injury: Leigh griffiths(Celtic), Ikechi Anya(Watford), Shaun Maloney(Wigan),Robert Snodgrass(Newcastle)
