Switzerland draw Ukraine in World Cup play offs

Last night Ukraine suffered an agonizing loss to the hands of Montenegro, the loss ultimately saw them through to the World Cup Qualifier Play Offs. The play offs were drawn just this afternoon, and Switzerland were drawn along side Ukraine. The two teams will play each other twice in the space of around 6 days, one game in Kiev and another in the capital of Switzerland, Bern. Away goals will apply for all games in the play offs.
This game is looking to be the most eagerly awaited game of the World Cup qualifying campaign so far. Voted the two most exciting teams of the tournament, Switzerland and Ukraine will lock horns to decide who really is the better of the two. Gheorghe Hagi, spoke to us earlier on about the draw and we were also able to speak to Switzerland winger Xherdan Shaqiri.
Hagi: I think this draw gives us a chance to prove ourselves worthy of playing the best of the best, of course we beat England, a great side but Switzerland are also a very good team and they will be giving it their all in these 2 legs. But we can't wait to get out there and test ourselves, especially after the Montenegro game!
Shaqiri: This game will really test our ability to the limit, Ukraine are one of the best teams in the play offs and should arguably have made it to the world cup sooner, and they would have done had they had Hagi at the Helm throughout the entire campaign. We will be looking forward to the game against Ukraine and no matter what happens in the build up to the game, at the end of the day, we just want to win.
