Manager of the Month
David Moyes wins the Manager of the Month award for February after leading his Norwich side to 4 consecutive victories against Nottingham Forest, Reading, Everton and Manchester United. It was a fantastic month for The Canaries as they picked up a maximum 12 points and climbed to 4th place in the league, well in the hunt for Champions League football next season.
Player of the Month
Leighton Baines wins the Player of the Month award for February after his impressive performances for Newcastle. Despite lingering in 14th place in the league table with Newcastle, Baines has been an outstanding performer for the Toon and consistently showed his fantastic talents all month.
Young Player of the Month
Lucas Romero wins the Young Player of the Month award for February with the Argentinian midfielder certainly showing his fantastic potential and promise with some star displays for Stoke City. Having signed from Benfica in January, Romero has definitely proved to be a good purchase for The Potters.
Leading Average Rating
Lionel Messi still leads with the highest average rating in the league, an incredible 9.91. Messi definitely has proved his credentials this season of being one of the best players in the world…if not the best! His spectacular average rating continues to show his brilliance.
Top Goalscorer
Cristiano Ronaldo climbs above Luis Suarez in the goalscoring charts this month after bagging 5 goals for Spurs taking his season tally in the Premier League to 15 goals. Ronaldo scored a variety of goals this month showing his class, even scoring a spectacular hattrick in Tottenham’s 4-1 rout of Nottingham Forest.
Leading Assister
Tottenham’s 22 year old German star Kevin Volland still leads the assists charts after the month of February and has added to his tally and now has 14 assists to his name. Volland’s good form corresponded with Spurs’ improvement in form as well with the North London club only losing one game this month as well as lifting the Capital One Cup.
Most Interceptions
Hull City’s defensive midfielder Fernando currently leads the charts for the most interceptions in the league, with 148 interceptions.
Most Offsides
Chelsea’s Brazilian international Willian still has the most offsides in the league with a staggering 62 offside’s to his name.
