Arsenal Announce New Signings

http://www.eurocopa12.com/wp-content/uploads/maxym-koval.jpg
Maxym Koval - GK
Coming in as an Understudy to Arsenal's 3 current goalkeepers, Koval will be looking to establish himself as a first-team regular in what was arguably the weakest area of the Arsenal squad. Koval made his international debut in 2012, and was part of the Ukraine squad for Euro 2012. A player who's stock is rising quickly in International football, and a great prospect for The Gunners.

Filipe - DL
Again, The Gunners are strengthening a previously weak area with the singing of Brazilian left-back Filipe. A solid signing for Arsenal, the 27-year old arrives in the season before the World Cup, and will no doubt work hard to prove he deserves to play in Brazil.

Javier Pastore - LW
Another solid signing, who will look to shake up the Arsenal Attack and provide a foil for Ozil and Cazorla; again, has a point to prove to get himself to Brazil, and comes into the season fired up and hungry for success.

Arsenal didn't only look abroad for players, also bringing in two players from league rivals Manchester City...

Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic arrived at Emirates in a deal which saw Jack Wilshere move the other way, along with a 12m transfer fee paid to City...Chairman Hans down felt the deal represented good value for money, with two proven goalscorers now in the squad, who have shown their ability to score in the premiership.

Time will tell if The Gunners finally have the firepower and class to end their trophy drought.

New Hull City chairman Joshua Hull has made his first major move since taking control of The Tigers by sacking Steve Bruce and replacing him with Ajax manager Frank de Boer.

Bruce, 53, has been in charge of the Yorkshire club since June 2012 and in his first season in charge he led the club back to the Premier League, clinching 2nd place on the last day of the season. He had had plenty of experience in the Premier League before, managing Sunderland, Wigan and Birmingham in the top flight as well as playing as a defender and captaining Manchester United with who he won the Premier League, FA Cup, Football League Cup and European Cup Winner's Cup.

Due to Hull’s immediate success under Bruce, the Englishman has become a popular figure to the fans and around the club. However, new chairman Joshua Hull has obviously not been impressed enough by Bruce to keep him in charge of the club and unhesitant has dispensed of his services. A statement released today read, “We have taken the decision to relieve Hull City AFC first-team manager Steve Bruce of his duties with immediate effect. Joshua Hull realises his managerial abilities but unfortunately Steve does not fit into his long term plan for the club and is not the type of manager who can lead this club to huge success which the new chairman is aiming for. We would like to place on record our gratitude for the work which Steve has done for the club in leading us back to the Premier League and wish him all the best for the future.”

The man who has been chosen to replace Bruce, is Frank de Boer with Hull paying out the rest of his contract at Ajax to appoint him as the new manager of The Tigers. Ajax was de Boer’s only ever managerial position, a position which he had held since 2010. During his time in Holland as a manager he won three league titles and one Johan Cryuff shield. As a player, de Boer was hugely successful with the former Dutch defender turning out for the likes of Ajax and Barcelona and winning a host of titles including the UEFA Champions League.

Frank de Boer is only 42 years old and is regarded as one of the best young managers in the world right now. Ajax have been the dominant force in the Dutch league while he was manager and have produced a number of quality players such as Christian Eriksen and Viktor Fischer. Hull managing to bring de Boer to their club is a real coup and he can really prove his manager credentials if he leads Hull to success.

In a press conference earlier de Boer spoke about his new challenge at Hull City, “I am delighted to be joining Hull City and am relishing the task and new challenge ahead of me. The club has a new chairman with a great long term plan and I believe I am the man that can carry out the plan and make Hull a huge force in English and European football. Despite the club only recently being promoted to the Premier League there is a pretty good squad here. Myself and Josh (Hull, club chairman) however will look to bring in some new faces though together in the near future. Once again I can’t wait to get working with Hull City.”
KING TIMMY THE MAGNIFICENT TAKES OVER MANCHESTER CITY
His Excellency, The King of Dubrovnik, who is commonly referred to as King Timmy, has expanded his wide sporting portfolio with mega-rich Manchester City. It is widely looked upon as a hostile takeover, as, silently, and with non-disclosure clauses left and right, the King of Dubrovnik bought all the minor shares of the Premier League Club before finally coming to the children of the Sheikh himself, and buying off the shares silently, before he acquired 51% of the club.

And with that, the Sheikh was disposed of, as he loudly, and rudely swore revenge on one of the richest monarchs in the world.

Bendiš, who was elected mayor of the City and Governor of the region, before declaring independence from the Republic of Croatia, has formed the former merchant republic into the tourism hotspot, essentially creating a 2nd Monaco. There is no income tax in the micro-state, and, as a result, several major celebrities own properties there, creating a booming property market, and high-end tourism beyond all control. And, with more money, more power comes in, as Dubrovnik prepares a 120 000 seat stadium ("The Crown of Dubrovnik" http://i61.tinypic.com/2a0bwk2.jpg, although commonly referred to as "Timmy's Crown") on top of it's only plateau, with the view of holding the Champions League final, and was pleased to host their first Formula 1 race on the city streets just last year.

This though, was beyond all measure.

Once Timmy was in control of England's richest football club, he went about and sold several players, to the vast shock of many. He started by selling James Milner and Joleon Lescott, two thought to be stalwarts in the English team, and then, continued by then making a perilous swap deal with Arsenal's new chairman, bringing in Wilshere and some change for Edin Džeko and Stephen Joveti?. He wasn't done yet, though, as he sold Dedryck Boyata on for pennies.

It all seemed to be part of his brutal plan though. As, just hours away from the transfer deadline, Barcelona accepted Timmy's Folly. And, Lionel Messi, presented with way too much money to refuse, was on the first flight to Manchester. He broke the transfer record, with 103 000 000 pounds going to Barcelona, but, after welcoming Lionel Messi to Manchester, it looks like City may have the greatest front line in the world:

Stoke City Announce 6 New Signings

Steven Davis - CM

The Northern Irish international was signed to strengthen the weak midfield and is set to burst straight into the first team. Davis most known for his time at Rangers were he captained the Glasgow club to 7 trophies and one UEFA cup final.

Jordan Rhodes - ST

Rhodes signs from championship side Blackburn Rovers. Rhodes has proved himself as a prolific goal scorer in the championship scoring scoring 28 goals in 45 appearances in the league last year.

Martin Kelly - RB

The 23 year old right back joins Stoke from Liverpool in a deal that evolved the exchange of Marko Arnautovic to the Merseyside club. Kelly told the press that he hopes by moving to Stoke it will help his career and hopefully lead to more appearances in the England squad.

Billy Jones - RB

Jones another RB was signed from West Brom to stenghten the Stoke defence. Jones who was previously at Crewe and Preston before joining West Brom is said to be "excited" to be joining Stoke.

Iago Aspas - ST

Aspas joins ex team-mates Kelly and Assaidi after agreeing a loan deal at Stoke until the end of the season. The explosive striker joins Stoke to try and gain essential first team experience which he is not getting at Liverpool.

Aaron Lennon - RM

England international Aaron Lennon joins Stoke in a shock move. Lennon, who recently lost his first team place after the appointment of new manager Tim Sherwood said he is "Glad to have left that sinking ship" and is set to relight his career at Stoke.

Shakira Shock Takeover of Man Utd

Singer and Barcelona defenders, Gerard Pique’s girlfriend, Shakira, has taken over as Manchester United chairwomen. Shakira has been said to have been interested in taking over as chairwomen last summer, but she had to wait until this year due to ‘reasons that cannot be told’ which was a quote made by the Glazer family last year.

Shakira has told BBC Sport, ‘What a amazing experience this is going to be, I really look forward to the new journey and career. Man Utd are a huge English club and I hope I can defend the title this year, I know how difficult it will be though, due to Man City and Chelsea for example, who both have fantastic squads, we can’t overlook Arsenal, Liverpool or Tottenham either, maybe even Everton might get involved, but this is going to be a great journey. But I’d like to thank all the Manchester United fans for the kind words said to me and also the players for their great commitment to the club and the effort they put in every single day, week, month and year, they’re fantastic’
-Could Shakira be blowing a kiss goodbye to her singing career?-

Rogan Josh and Antonio Conte Do Deals!

It was not the busiest of transfer windows for Liverpool but they did come up with four signings and a controversial none sale.

With £41,500,000 of sales in and only £3,000,000 of sales out it was a interesting window for them as they decided against going for the likes of Tom Ince and Will Hughes.

Players In

M Arnautovic comes in for £8,000,000 and Martin Kelly going to Stoke and he will provide something different for Antonio Conte to use because he is more like a target man then Liverpool's usual type of striker but that can be a good thing. I am so glad to have left Stoke because they are a club that are going nowhere, where as Liverpool are going places.

Bacuna comes in as the utility man Liverpool needed. He can play Right Back, Right Midfield, Central Midfield and Left Back. He comes in for £7,000,000 and could well end up being the signing of the season if he performs. He rarely gets injured and Conte will look for someone like that.

In perhaps the surprise of the transfer window, Rogan Josh has bought in Matt Jarvis on a season long loan. We beleive there is a reason behind this but for legal reasons we are not allowed to say. I am not sure how much game time he will get but once upon a time Gary McAllister moved to Liverpool ages late 30's and he was instrumental in the Uefa Cup win against Alaves.

Finally Liverpool swooped, and got Joao Moutinho from Monaco for £26,500,000. He will suit Conte's style of play perfectly and I have to admit I was expecting a bigger price tag but this has a chance of being the best signing that represents vale for money. I mean I know Messi got signed and everything but players will be out to injure Messi and is £102,000,000 really worth paying for one player? We will see.

Players Out

Stoke signed Martin Kelly permanently and Iago Aspas on loan. The other departure was John Flanagan to Hull for £3,00,000

The controversy lies with Raheem Sterling. He was apparently agreed a move to West Ham United on loan for the season. Unfortunatly this has not happened because the Chairman did not get the paperwork sent off. He had it filled in but was lazy and could not be bothered to send it off so Sterline will challenge Jarvis for a starting spot.

Hull City confirm host of new signings

With new chairman Joshua Hull and new manager Frank de Boer at the helm, Hull City have confirmed a host of new additions to their squad as they prepare for the forthcoming Barclays Premier League season. The Tigers made no less than 9 transfer deals during the window.

The first transfer completed was the signing of Southampton central defender Dejan Lovren who moved to Hull for a fee of £8m. Despite only recently moving to the south-coast the £8m transfer fee and £60k wage offered was obviously enough to tempt both the club and the Croatian.

Another man making the move from Southampton was defensive midfielder Jack Cork who made the switch to Hull as part of a player’s plus cash deal which saw Paul McShane, Matty Fryatt and Stephen Quinn as well as £600k go to the Saints.

The next transfer completed was the signing of young Liverpool defender John Flanagan for a small fee of only £3m. Hull had originally planned to bring Flanagan on loan believing that Liverpool would intend to keep hold of a player with a bright future but the Reds decided it would be best for Flanagan to leave permanently meaning Hull managed to acquire a bargain.

The next two transfers completed was a double loan swoop for Manchester United duo Alexander Buttner and Nani. Both players join on a season long loan with Hull paying 50% of their wages.

The next transfer completed was another loan signing with Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry joining on loan for the season. Hull will not pay any of the wingers wages.

Yet another loan signing as Senegalese striker Demba Ba joins from Chelsea for the season. This signing is a coup for Hull City as they are not paying any of his wages and he is a player with great quality.

One of the best signings of the window for Hull as wonderkid Mateo Kovacic completed a move from Inter Milan to Hull City for just £4.7m. Kovacic adds real quality to the midfield and has a very good future ahead of himself.

Another fantastic signing and the final signing of the window was the deal to bring Will Hughes to Hull City from Derby County for only £3.5m. Hughes is regarded as one of the best English youngsters at the moment with Liverpool one of the many teams who have taken interest in him in the last year but for Hull to snap him up for such a small price is great.

Man Utd announce 3 summer signings

New chairwomen Shakira and recently previous unnamed manager, Guus Hiddink, have been busy in the transfer window and came out with a trio from the German divisions.
http://www.mlssoccer.com/sites/league/files/imagecache/620x350/image_nodes/2013/05/subotic.jpg
Neven Subotic has been brought in from Dortmund for a bargain of 9 million. The Serbian will replace a ever ageing Ferdinand and look to fill the boots of Vidic next season, who will join Inter Milan next summer.

The second signing made is Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich. Shaqiri was the most expensive signing made, costing 17 million. He will provide some much needed ‘talent’ and will look to quickly become a star of ‘Utd in the years to come.

http://www.express.de/image/view/2012/9/22/20680686,14768166,highRes,hornver.jpg

The final signing of this summers window, may provide a shock, as it’s Koln keeper, Timo Horn. Horn will look to become a future worldwide wonder, as he’s said to be the next Manuel Neuer. He will provide a good back-up keeper in the first 2 or 3 seasons, before being one of the first names on the team sheet after that.

However, Chris Smalling will be leaving to Europa League hopefuls, Newcastle for 11 million, Nani and Alexander Buttner will depart to Hull on loan until the end of the season with Hull providing 50% of their wages and Jonny Evans leaves to the Hawthorns until the end of the season, again on loan with 50% wages being paid.

SPURS CONCLUDE TRANSFER WINDOW

DEPARTURES

AARON LENNON is the first player to depart White Hart Lane, making a remarkable £13,000,000 move to Stoke City. The English winger was said to be surplus to requirements due to the talents of Erik Lamela and Andros Townsend on the right flank.

EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR is the second man that's left Tottenham, also for a fee of £13,000,000 to West Bromwich Albion. The Togolese striker, though expected to play backup to Spanish front man Roberto Soldado, has been sold for this surprisingly inflated fee. Putin was said to have laughed openly when he received such a high bid.

HARRY KANE has also left Spurs, but only on a loan deal to Fulham. The English starlet is expected to cement a first team place at Craven Cottage and gain valuable first team experience; however, should things fail to work out, Spurs have the option to recall Kane at any point.

DANNY ROSE has been sold to Newcastle in an exchange deal that will be revealed in the 'Arrivals' section of this article. The pacy left back/midfielder/winger's versatility might be missed, but Rose was never up to scratch at a top club, and will make space for higher class replacements.

ETIENNE CAPOUE is the final player to have been shown the door, signing with Swansea in another exchange deal to be revealed below. The Frenchman was far behind the likes of Sandro in the pecking order in central midfield and will look to forge a new career in Wales.

ARRIVALS

DAVIDE SANTON is the first player to arrive at White Hart Lane as Vladimir Putin's first signing, making a £7,000,000 switch which included Danny Rose heading the other way. Santon, considered one of the best young left backs in the world, is a welcome addition to a club whose previous starter was the likes of Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

JONJO SHELVEY is the other player to arrive on a part exchange, costing £3,000,000 as well as seeing Etienne Capoue head the other way. The English central midfielder failed to make the cut at Liverpool but will look to break out as a star here at Tottenham.

CARLOS VELA is the first of three big name foreign transfers to make the trek to Spurs. The talented Mexican attacker cost the club £15,250,000 but will add flair and a potent goal-scoring threat down the left flank or as competition for Soldado in a striking role.

KEVIN VOLLAND is the next attacking supplement to make the switch to Tottenham. One of the most renowned young German talents, Putin and his team spent a full £22,000,000 on Volland, narrowly beating out tough competition from the likes of Southampton. Volland will likely provide stern competition for Soldado and mature into a long term star.

DAVID ALABA is the biggest name to arrive at Spurs. The Bayern Munich player was bought for £18,750,000 and will almost certainly start at left back. Alaba is considered somewhat of a coup for Spurs, but will provide a huge boost to their aspirations to qualify for the prestigious UEFA Champions League.

West Ham announce new signings

By Deji McLeod
We're extremely bored here at ToffeeWeb, so we're going to bring you some West Ham transfers. Co-Op God has signed Javier Hernandez from Manchester United for £20M (in installments) and James Milner from Manchester City for £15M. They've let Jarvis go on loan to Liverpool, and may be in for Raheem Sterling on loan and Afghan defender Faisal Hemati. You heard it here first.

In other news, Enfield Town drew at Thamesmead. Fuck yeah.

West Bromwich Albion Transfer Activity

ARRIVALS

Emmanuel Adebayor - The gangly Togolese striker has joined Albion in a deal of £13 million from Tottenham. He is expected to go straight into the starting line-up and play alongside fellow new signing, Lukas Podolski. It is believed that Vladimir Putin may actually be the Russian President, not the Ukrainian he claims he is, and that he employed the help of the Mafia to ensure this extortionate fee was paid for Emmanuel. Chairman Bale however, will have the last laugh, when Adebayor scores a 96th minute goal to all but sink Spurs EUROPA LEAGUE aspirations. Champions league, pfffft.

Lukas Podolski - Adebayors potential strike partner at The Hawthorns was signed for a cut price £7.5 million from Arsenal. The clinical, pacey striker has the firepower to propel West Brom up the table and the cheap nature of the deal makes up for the extortionate fee shelled out for Adebayor.

Sascha Riether - The flying full back was also signed by Albion, from Fulham, in a deal believed to be in the region of £9 million. The high fee may be seen as overkill but he is actually a quality full back with bags of pace and a Leighton Baines-esque crossing ability. He is also an excellent team player and will work his socks off to get a good result for the team.

Jonny Evans - The excellent centre back was signed on loan for the rest of the season from Manchester United. Albion will be paying 50% of the wages in what was described as an "Outstanding deal" by their chairman Cristiano Bale.

Tomas Rosicky - The Central Midfielder formerly of Arsenal was signed from The Gunners for a bargain £500,000. He will add experience to what is already beginning to look like the best team Albion have had in years. Technically Rosicky is fantastic and he can also pass the ball well. He is unlikely to be a starter in a team already flooded with talent but he will be an excellent man to come off the bench.

Bryan Oviedo - The former Everton full back, who can also play anywhere up the left hand side, was Albion's final piece of business. Signed for £3.2 million, the Costa Rican adds the much needed left back that Albion needed. Liam Ridgewell will be consigned to the bench as Oviedo looks to come in and claim a starting berth.

DEPARTURE

Billy Jones - The Right Back was the only player who left Albion, despite desperate attempts by Bale to get rid of Victor Anichebe and Boaz Myhill, as he joined Stoke City in a expensive £6 million deal. Jones starting place looked unlikely after the signing of Riether so Bale acted quickly to move him on for the maximum amount possible. His sense of humor won't be missed...

Toffees Takeover: complete!

Tonight, Everton have confirmed their new chairmen as ex-boxer and entrepreneur George Forman. Forman, is seemingly looking to the future after taking over the Blues, with his eyes set on developing youth. He gave a statement earlier this morning, and was brimming with confidence!

Foreman: I am extremely happy to have finalized a deal with the previous owners of Everton and am now looking to the future. I know some may speculate on my footballing knowledge, because I am an ex American boxer, But my knowledge is just as good as the next guys. I also realize that the move may discomfort the manager, and players however I want to ensure them we are behind them all. Martinez will be the Everton manager come the start of the season.

When asked on Everton's transfer policy, Mr.Foreman replied with some very promising words.

Foreman: Our policy is to sign the younger talent, we are looking at a number of targets already and we are sure we can come to an agreement with the players' teams. Not only do we want to sign young players, but we would like to get a few high profile names into the club definitely!

It's going to be a long hard season for Everton, but with hard work and tenacity they can really reach the targets they have set out, which will no doubt be European qualification, and to challenge in the domestic cups. How far will they go under new ownership?

Triple Threat!

Everton have announced the signings of three players, all from foreign clubs. Juan Quintero has joined the toffees for a fee of 4 million pounds, and is expected to partner up with the signing of winger Vitinho who joins for just 3.8 million pounds. The two are highly expected to add to Evertons attacking threat of Barkley, Lukaku and Mirallas and could potentially light up the premier league this season says chairman George Forman.

Forman: I am so glad we have finalized these two deals, they are two fantastic players and could give the Premier League an extra spark. You have players like Hazard and Suarez, and I just expect Vitinho and Quintero to add to the flair of world class players such as these.

Everton have also made one more signing, one seen a lot bigger than the other two. Benedikt Howedes, German centre back from Schalke has joined Everton, breaking Everton's transfer record. He joins for a fee of £14.25M. Howedes is expected to boss the Premier Leagues top strikers about in the centre of Everton's defense, he has done so many a time at Schalke.

Forman: Howedes is a great player. He is such a solid player, and has really proved himself worthy of playing in the Premier League and I can only see him improving our squad. It will be so hard to get past the boy, and this is what we want to do, attack well but remain responsible at the back, as does any other team.

Everton have also added to there side with two domestic transfers and very promising players in the form of; Leroy Fer, and Ben Davies. Darren Gibson and McGeady were included in the deals as part exchanges + undisclosed fees. Sylvain Distin leaves for 1.5M, and Jon stones will depart the club for 1.3M respectively. Bryan Oviedo has also left the club for West Bromwich Albion, for a fee of £3.2M.
