Small little bit off information that in my eyes is not worth a massive post.. I have been given £12.5 million with the aim off top 4 (I aim high haha) and £100k wage budget free!

Everton Sign Two Players

Just a few weeks into Joshua Beans reign with Everton Bean has delivered on his word of signing two players in the transfer window and the fans are delighted with the two signings. Bean identified from an early stage that a rotation option was needed for central midfield preferably a hard-working player who can come off the bench and put a shift in. But Bean also recognised the need for an attacking winger with pace and flair but is also good on and off the ball.

Step forward Adam Lallana and from Southampton and Scott Brown from Celtic.
Lallana is enjoying an increasing name for himself in the world of football with a standout season last year where he showed off his pace alongside his technique. On the verge of an England call up Bean decided to buy quickly before his price rocketed. The fee for Lallana is rumoured to be around £10 million with £5 million off that being upfront and the rest paid over the course of 48 months. It is also believed that Lallana is on £56,000 p/w which for a soon to be England player is a very reasonable deal. Lallana can bring pace, finishing, dribbling and crossing to the side and he is exactly the sort of winger Everton needed.

Brown on the other hand has come in to be a rotation player for central midfield to cover for injury prone Barry and the new McCarthy. Brown offers hard work, tackling, energy, stamina and strength to a midfield which Bean is going to want to work hard defensively to allow Everton’s front four free reign upfront and Brown can help them with that. Signed for a fee off £4 million upfront with £3.5 million over 48 months Bean thinks he has got a very hard working professional for a relatively cheap fee despite his Champions League experience.

Bean had this to say. “I am delighted to sign Scott and Adam. Both are great professionals one with a great future ahead of him and another with several years of Champions League experience. I know these are the kind off players we need at this club to take a step forward. For relatively cheap prices as well I am glad to have captured their signatures.”

Bean Discusses Tactics Are Great Pre-Seasons

After signing two off his own players and being in the job for several weeks the pre-season fixtures began. Usually these games the fans pay little attention to but on this occasion they paid a lot of attention to the pre-season matches. Especially since they were up against several big sides such as PSG and AC Milan in the 'Everton Cup'.

A quite sensational pre-season for the Evertonians saw them defeat PSG on penalties and crush AC Milan 3-0 in the final off the 'Everton Cup'. Throughout the entire pre-season Bean played a variety of players and still came out undefeated this is sure to be a great confidence builder.

After the success of pre-season Bean has agreed to come on our show and discuss his sides tactics in detail.

Well with these tactics I aim to play football the right way. That means attacking football. I'm talking bombing fullbacks, aggressive wingers a CAM who peppers the defense with shots and assists and of course a quick and strong striker. Now I will explain you the tactic position by position.

GK: Not much to explain here. Howard is a great shot stopper but not the faster keeper in the world so I have decided to stick him as a normal keeper and not a sweeper keeper.

RB/LB: These positions are all about pace and technique. I have set my to fullbacks as complete wing backs, this means they get back to defend when needed but they are always looking to break and surge up field. For example Coleman is a very quick lad so this role suits him to the ground. Baines has the pace and the technique to be world class in this position with his crossing ability. My fullbacks also look to overlap on the wingers sides to create opportunities to cross the ball unshackled by defenders.

CB: I have put bot my center backs as stoppers. This means they continue the high line and pressure opposition players preventing them from getting away their passes and shots. Easy enough to understand this role.

CMs: I have two central midfielders in two different roles. One is set as a ball winning midfielder and one is box to box. The BWM is here to literally tackle everyone near him, preventing attacks and even causing counter-attacks due to stealing a ball from a over enthusiastic opposition. He can not let players pass and is here to protect the high line defense. The box to box midfielder has a simple but tiring job. Never stop running. His job is to be everywhere help in attack by being an extra body to pass, shoot and retain possession but when we lose the ball he needs to run all the way back to help cover the defense in case the high line is being threatened.

AML/R: The jobs of our two wingers varies depending on the opposition. But more often than not I will set them as inside forwards. The wingers need pace, crossing ability and be able to score goals. They are not conventional wingers. But wingers who can take players on the outside but love to cut in to either shoot first time or to run into space looking for a pass.

CAM: This player will be played as a advanced play maker. He will be our main play maker within the team. Getting assists, scoring and creating attacking opportunities. He needs to be quick, strong and can pass because at this position he is sure to be marked tightly.

Striker: This lone striker will be played as a poacher. The wingers and AMC will be able to score themselves but they need someone to finish any chances that should fall to him inside the area for example from drilled crosses. I want my poacher to by strong, fast and can score.... And we all know we have that in Lukaku.
Bloody Everton... ;)

This is a nice start mate, and I love the signing of Lallana! Can't wait for the season to kick off! :D

Simply Sensational First Month For Bean

After a quite stunning pre-season the fans backed Bean to fulfill the drubs lofty dreams of top four and European Football. But to make sure this happened a good start was needed to build the confidence of the fans, the manager and most importantly the players. And that is exactly what they got.

Southampton VS Everton 1-1

A bumper crowd of 26,110 turned up in the pouring rain to watch the season opener for these two clubs. The home side were expecting a solid mid-table finish and was hosting top 4 hopefuls Everton to St Mary's. The game was an extremely close affair if you go by the scoreline and the stats. Southampton just edged the possession stats but that is to be expected at home.

However Everton created four more clear cut chances in comparison to the home side but a quite stunning performance by Boruc in the Saints goal kept them at bay. Southampton then took the lead through a amazing goal by Ramirez. He recieved the ball from a hoof up field by the keeper. He chested the ball down and knocked it past Baines, when pushed out wide he cut in and curled the ball into the bottom corner.

Everton pulled level and the game ended level after former Saints man Adam Lallana ran the line extremely well and found himself in miles of space as he recieved a pass from Lukaku. Lallana slotted the ball into the near corner to rescue a point for Everton.

My man of the match: I give this to Boruc in the Saints goal who kept his side in the game. He prevented 3 certain goals early on.

Everton VS West Brom 3-0

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02797/Kevin_Mirallas_2797086b.jpg

A game that Everton fans a players alike knew they should win easily. Before the game Bean was nothing but polite about the upcoming opponents but he admitted that if his side doesn't run out clear winners he would be very annoyed at his team. He wasn't by the end of the match.

A huge crowd of 38,886 fans came to watch at Goodison Park with expectations of a win. Foster cleared the ball off the line after just 13 minutes and it was a sign of things to come. On the stroke of 40 minutes Everton's captain Baines blasted a free-kick into the top left corner from 22 yards out leaving Foster helpless. Mirallas then scored a screamer from 30 yards out on 43 minutes.

In the second half things didn't get any better for West Brom as Mirallas scored his second off the night capping off a 17 pass move including all players bar Howard and Distin. West Brom did score with two minutes to go but it was flagged rightly for offside.

My man of the match: Goes to Kevin Mirallas for scoring a delightful double and securing the first win of the season.

Barnsley VS Everton Capital One Cup (COC) 1-5

http://barnsleynewsandsport.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/010309624829000.jpg

A rotated Everton squad arrived in Barnsley expecting a victory but knowing without al their key players it should not be a walk in the park. Bean surprisingly decided to leave Lukaku in the starting line up as well as the original back 4 meaning it was mainly a complete new midfield for the COC match. But it paid off.

Lukaku scored a 22 minute hat-trick with goals in the following fashion. His opener after just 10 minutes was a volley directly from a corner aimed at the near post. Lukaku beat his man and blasted the ball into the net. On 20 minutes Baines played through Gibson who chipped the ball over the defenders and Lukaku kept his head to round the keeper and tap the ball into an open net. His hat-trick was sealed after 22 minutes when he smashed home from the penalty spot.

Things didn't improve for Barnsley in the second half and Lukaku netted his fourth of the night after 63 minutes. He turned his man a drilled it into the bottom right corner. Barnsley did score late on through O'Grady a near post header but even that slight cheer was cancelled out when Pienarr scored a free-kick on the edge of the area to make the result a thumping 5-1 to the visitors.

My man of the match: Well it can only logically go to one man... Lukaku!!

Everton VS Cardiff 3-0

This is one of those games that was a lot closer than the score line suggests. The scoreline suggests a very easy walk out for the Liverpool based side however Cardiff had two goals disallowed, three shots hit the woodwork and one shot cleared off the line by Baines. Cardiff were desperately unlucky in this game.

11 minutes in Cardiff had a corner which was headed clear by Lukaku. Mirallas then burst down the flank and drilled the ball across the face of goal but there was no Everton players to meet it. However the Cardiff keeper took it upon himself to slice the clearance directly to youngster and Everton fan Barkley who tapped in his first of the season.

In the second half Cardiff's bad luck continued. On the 62nd minute Barkley's shot took a wicked deflection and looped over Marshall's head into the net. But Barkley didn't care as he had netted twice for his boyhood club. Barkley should of had a hat-trick but instead decided to pull the ball across the face of goal allowing Lukaku a tap in from 4 yard out on the 92 minute.

Man of the match: Youngster Barkley shines for Everton in this game and left the field to a standing ovation from the Everton faithful.
