So I have done my research grabbed my scout reports, performance charts and I’m off to a board meeting, with Karen Brady, David Sullivan and David Gold.

Me: I know Damien Duffs available for free, he would bring great experience and an extra option on our wings. He hasn’t played all season would be desperate to get some games at his age

DG: he’s 34 and not playing for F**King Fulham, he’s not bloody putting on a West Ham shirt unless his wages drop.

Me: Oh ok what about an old boy then Matthew Etherington?

DS: No we didn’t leave on the best of terms can’t see him coming back!

Me: What about a right Back? Demels not performing this season at all can we release him as nobody’s interested?

DS: At least you have Andy Carroll back he’s a new striker for you! Even tho Crouch is scoring we want to see Andy playing more

So after being deflated by the terrible news on the budgets but the security on a new contract has boosted the disciples in my squad. I walk down the corridors wondering what agents to ring bump into my assistant manager Neal McDonald , who informs me Fulham are just about to turn up

Transfer window shut and no signings came in but Guy Demel leaves with our blessing to join Championship side Charlton on a free transfer and a significant amount of wages continued to be paid over the next 18 months.
