Andrew Booy named his reserve side for this quarter final clash at Ashton Gate. Normal reserve striker Maximilian Meyer was injured coming off the bench in the last match so 18 year old Italian wonderkid Gabriele Allegri made his professional debut for Bristol City. Jonathan Silva was suspended and Rodney Klein was also injured for the Robins. Leeds had Fallou Diagne suspended, Alex Mowatt, Roberto Soldado, Moses Odubajo injured and Ben Marshall cup-tied.

Booy signs young Brazilian centre back







Bristol City today completed the free transfer signing of 20 year old Brazilian centre back Pablo. He had recently been released by Brazilian side Gremio after his contract had expired. He will spend the rest of this season in the U21 squad and manager Andrew Booy will look to send him out on loan as soon as possible.

Andrew Booy continued to field his reserve side for this easy visit of bottom of the Championship Brighton. The only change was Gabriele Allegri for Julian Draxler who is rumoured to be leaving Ashton Gate in the next week or so. Perhaps this is because Allegri has developed enough to earn a spot in Andrew Booy's 22 man squad.

Brighton had Paul Downing and James Keatings out injured and Danny Laffery out through suspension.
