Last minute deadline deal outgoing at the Gate



Andrew Booy decided to let Julian Draxler leave to rivals Tottenham for 45 million pounds on transfer deadline day. The reason for this is that Draxler was only seen as a squad rotation player going forward and youngster Gabriele Allegri had improved in training so much he could take his place in the 1st team squad. Julian made over 100 appearances during 2.5 years at Ashton Gate. He won the league twice and most notably was the winner of the 2017/18 English footballer of the year award.
