Andrew Booy finally had a full squad to choose from as Fanch Le Bras and Alvaro had returned from time in the treatment room. Striker Gabriele Allegri had impressed so much in the little game time he had been given and was now able to take a permanent place in the 1st team ahead of Rodney Klein.

PSG had January signings Cristian Pascual and Sven Bender ineligible to play.
