January 2021 Transfer Window opens!

Andrew Booy has signed 18 year old Brazil U20 goalkeeper Fernandinho after his youth contract at Brazilian side Internacional expired. He has more potential than current backup goalkeeper Fernandes and could eventually be City's number one in years to come. Fernandes may be sold in this transfer window once new signing Fernandinho returns from the South America U20 championship currently taking place.

Fahad Al-Inezi joins City from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for a fee of 425,000 pounds. He is an 18 year old right winger who will develop with the U18 squad for the remainder of the season. Has potential but not sure if he can ever gain a spot in Booy's first team squad.

Bristol City break transfer outgoing record!

Andrew Booy has sold 24 year old Timo Werner to Real Madrid for a cool 68 million pounds! Werner made 117 appearances for Andrew Booy since joining from Arsenal for a record 66 million pounds in January 2018. He scored an impressive 50 goals over that period and contributed 30 assists and picked up 14 MoM awards. He won the Premier League three times, the FA Cup once and the Capital One cup once during his time at Ashton Gate. He was shortlisted for the World Golden Ball in 2018 and 2019

The replacement

Werner was allowed to leave by Andrew Booy because of the progress of youngster Igor Goncalves. The 18 year old Portugal international was signed in 2019 for 27.5 million pounds from PC Porto at the tender age of 16. He is now good enough for the City 1st team squad and could eventually take star player Esteban Gabriel Jesus Bogado's place in the starting 11. Ricardo Gomez will now cover Alvaro at left wing following Timo Werner's departure.
