On The Whole
A month of ups and downs, that's for sure. Supreme results against Arsenal and Manchester City, taking a point off Chelsea wasn't too bad either. Disappointing to lose the games we really should be winning but a Man United dip in form has allowed us to push up into fourth spot, though they do hold a game in hand over us.
Premier League Table
We're 4th and 1pt ahead of United who have a game in hand. Sorry!
Player of The Month
Sylvain Distin
Sylvain wins it for the second time in two months. He was incredible against the big clubs and single-handedly kept out Aguero and Negredo (with a little help from Jagielka). To win Man of the Match three times in a row is something else. The 35 year old certainly doesn't play like he's coming to the end of his career.
Distin's December Highlight:Distin cleared the ball of Everton's goal-line in the 94th minute at Manchester City, heroically preventing them from grabbing a late, late equaliser.
