Daniel Snyder becomes Arsenal owner as Wenger gets the sack

Speculation has arisen from all over the world in numerous tabloid papers over the globe about the future of Arsenal football club after current Chairman Sir John "Chips" Keswick announced that after only buying the club, already after a couple of months he was prepared to sell; leaving doubt in Arsenal fans minds.

However, American businessman and owner of American Football side “Washington Redskins” has confirmed that he has bought the club but wishes to keep the fee as a private matter. Arsenal fans are pleased to hear the news hoping that Snyder will provide funds for the new manager following Wenger’s termination of contract.

Daniel Snyder has said: “I am proud to be a part of Arsenal Football Club, I have always been a fan of Soccer (Football) and I hope that I can help push Arsenal on the financial side of the equation

When being asked about why Wenger was sacked, he told the media: “Wenger has done great things with this club, and achieved many things, but things need to be changed, its been over eight years without a trophy and we need someone new to come in and shake things up

He was then asked about what sort of person he would like to take over, his instant response was: “I want someone who will be a leader, who will show authority but I also what someone who is familiar with the club”

Snyder continued: “We have had a number of application forms come in, we’ve narrowed it down to five, two are former Arsenal players, one is an unemployed coach who is well known at the top level of football and the final two are currently employed at well-respected clubs within Europe. We hope to have a decision by the beginning of July 2013

Tony Adams and Roberto Di Matteo are joint favourites to take over but news is set to come in over the next few days.
Nice start mate, wonder who the manager will be.
Thanks! You'll find out soon

Arsenal appoint Dennis “The Iceman” Bergkamp

Former Arsenal legend Bergkamp takes over as Head Coach

News from the Arsenal training camp in London Colney has been released with new Chairman Daniel Snyder confirming former Arsenal legend Dennis “The Iceman” Bergkamp as the clubs new Head Coach. He will sign on a twelve month contract and any extension can be rewarded at any time if Snyder feels Bergkamp can take on the role long term.

Dennis is someone everyone at the club knows” began Snyder, “someone who everyone respects, and I hope that continues. He has told me that he will not be there to be the player’s mates, and that he will apply a strong level of discipline and I believe that discipline is a key part to success. Cause when the manager loses authority in the dressing room, everything shatters ”

Sky Sources first believed this as just an hour ago, which is normally an hour and half before training, his car was seen entering the training ground and now, the contract has signed and will begin work with immediate effect, and will start pre-season training later today.

During his first press conference, Dennis Bergkamp has made a comment that the majority of Arsenal fans will agree with. He says the club can no longer treat fourth place as a trophy, he says some money will be spent to improve the squad claiming that after a combersation with new Chairman/Owner Daniel Snyder, he will have a large transfer budget and that he will allow Bergkamp to have complete control over transfers.

Bergkamps first game will be a behind closed doors friendly tomorrow between the Senior Team and U21’s team. Bergkamp will allow some first team players to play for the U21’s so he will be able to analyse the whole team’s performance and see who will be in his plans for the upcoming season.
Good luck!
Thanks mate

Arsenal make double swoop from Schalke and FC Porto

Bergkamp’s first signing in 21 year old centre back Matip

News has emerged from the Arsenal training ground in London Colney that Arsenal have made their first two signings of the season. One an experienced player that has played in Portugal and all over South America. The other being a youngster with a lot of potential who played in Germany.

The first signings is FC Schalke’s young centre back Joel Matip who over the last two seasons has been a regular for the German side making a total of 62 appearances after his promotion from their B team squad.

The transfer has been completed and is believe to be around 11m and on a long term four year contract which will keep him here until June 2017.

The young defender told us about the move: “Moving to Arsenal was a hard choice to make, over the previous two seasons I had established myself in the Schalke first team and I was happy in Germany but when you see the set up at Arsenal and I spoke with the gaffer (Bergkamp) and he told many things that in the end did tempt me to come here, but I’m just please I am here and I just want to impress the boss and the Arsenal fans

Bergkamp also said at a press conference that: “Matip is a young prospect, with a bright future and I believe he can really help strengthen the back line along with the likes of Mertesacker and Koscielny and now we can rest knowing we have a younger centre back

Second signing is goal scoring Equador striker Jackson Martinez

The second of the signings being FC Porto’s striker Jackson Martinez who had already impressed Bergkamp with his goal scoring record from last season but after his strong performance against his said in a pre-season friendly; the exact night afterwards, negations began.

Martinez has signed a five year contract at the Emirates and a fee around the 15m mark all to be paid up front. Last season, the Columbian striker had scored 26 goals in only 30 appearances and it was impressive for his first season in the Portuguese league with Bergkamp and Arsenal fans hoping he will adapt to the English League quick and score goals alongside current forward Giroud.

Martinez told Portuguese media: “My time in Portugal was very short with it being only 12 months but I did enjoy myself and having the opportunity to join such an infamous club such as Arsenal was an offer I could never turn down. And I wish Porto luck for the future but hope to bring some sparkle to Arsenal’s play and get the fans cheering again

Bergkamp told Sky Sports: “Jackson, what can I say? He is just a player who has an eye for goal and is a very clinical finisher who can easily find the back of the net. If he can do here what he did at FC Porto, believe me, we would have got ourselves a player and I believe he is worth more than the 15m we paid for him

News of more signings is set to come and news from Arsenal is that two players are set to depart, one for a lower league club and the other for the French Leagues.
Great signings mate! A very good striker is exactly what Arsenal needs!
