The first of the three departures is Polish Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski who has spent five seasons at Arsenal but now drops a division to play for Championship side Nottingham Forest for a total fee of 1.5m. Fans are not surprised by the move after only making 18 appearances in the last three seasons and it is believe the Polish ‘keeper wants first team football to get into the international side.
Moving onto the second departure, this is in the shape of long serving right-back Bacary Sagna who was listed by new manager Bergkamp and makes a switch to the French League to play for rich side Paris Saint Germain. The fee is over 4.5m and has signed a four year contract. Fans are devastated by the move but Bergkamp insists that the move is due to advancing age.
And the final of the three being Spanish full back Monreal who has decided to leave due to a lack of first team football and stating he was unable to compete with Kieran Gibbs for a spot and will now join divisional rivals Newcastle for 4m.
