Arsenal announce departures after Deadline Day


A number of first team players depart Arsenal FC


With Arsenal under new management having appointing a new Chairman in Daniel Snyden who then eventually appoint club legend Dennis Bergkamp as Head Coach. They have announced that three players have departed Arsenal on permanent deals with a total of seven players leaving the club on loan to gain some first team appearances.

The players leaving on loan follow as:
Serge Gnabry – Norwich City
Chuba Akpom – Leyton Orient
Carl Jenkinson – Nottingham Forest
Issac Hayden – Morecambe
Ryo Miyaichi – FC Lorient
Samuel Galindo – FC Lorient
Jon Toral – AFC Wimbledon

The first of the three departures is Polish Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski who has spent five seasons at Arsenal but now drops a division to play for Championship side Nottingham Forest for a total fee of 1.5m. Fans are not surprised by the move after only making 18 appearances in the last three seasons and it is believe the Polish ‘keeper wants first team football to get into the international side.

Moving onto the second departure, this is in the shape of long serving right-back Bacary Sagna who was listed by new manager Bergkamp and makes a switch to the French League to play for rich side Paris Saint Germain. The fee is over 4.5m and has signed a four year contract. Fans are devastated by the move but Bergkamp insists that the move is due to advancing age.

And the final of the three being Spanish full back Monreal who has decided to leave due to a lack of first team football and stating he was unable to compete with Kieran Gibbs for a spot and will now join divisional rivals Newcastle for 4m.

Young full back Serge Aurier is Bergkamp’s third signing


With the new season fast approaching, Bergkamp has yet again dipped his toes into the transfer market with his third signing, that ebing Toulouse’s twenty year old right back Serge Aurier. The Ivory Coast born defender has signed a lomng term contract with the Gunners after the two clubs agreed a 12.5m fee for the player.

Aurier, 20, spoke of his delight to join a team of Arsenal’s stature in football: “I am happy to join Arsenal especially at such a young age and hope I can help the side. It will be tough to fit in but I can only try my best to achieve

Bergkamp said that: “Serge is a great prospect, of course he is twenty, a player with potential who will fit into our first XI and I feel this will help him grow and develop and make him become a great leading Premier League star

Final signing: Lazio’s young defensive midfielder Ogenyi Onazi


And the final signing of the Summer Transfer window is Lazio’s young defensive midfield who has been looked at by Bergkamp during pre-season matches and is even being heavily monitored by the Nigerian national team coach. Onazi joins Arsenal for a fee of around 8m.

He has admitted that leaving Italy was a decision that drove him to the edge, that he had to consider his options and what would be best for his career. In the end, moving to Arsenal was decided by him and his agent as a terrific footballing opportunity and that moving to a club like Arsenal can improve him as a player.

Bergkamp described Onazi as a prospect for the future and that he doesn’t expect him to be playing week in week out and that he is considering the option to send him on loan to a lower premier league team or even a championship team.

The window is now closed, now is time to see how Bergkamp will get on in his first six months in his new position as Arsenal coach.

We have brought in many youngsters into our squad, and seen some experience top quality players leave, this season will be tough, this is a transitional period at the club with a new owner, a new manager, and new players.

This squad are up for it, they are feeling positive but they know that it will be yet another challenge for them. But we need you, our fans to stay behind the team, no matter how hard times may get, you have to get behind the staff, me, but most of all; the team.
Sadly, both the original and backup save have become corrupt reef ore bring this story to an end. A new story will be up in the next couple of days
