SINNOT IS GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE

http://www.altrinchamfc.co.uk/sinnottappt2.jpg

In the last season Altrincham was expected to promote from Skrill North, but they failed to promote after the play-offs. For a long time it was expected that Lee Sinnott would get fired, but today the Altrincham board decided to give him a second chance to promote. The board has told media that only promotion is good enough for Sinnott to keep the job.

"I'm very pleased that I got a new chance to show the board what I can do for this club. They won't regret their decision! This year I'm sure we'll manage to promote from Skrill North! Last season we were unfortunate and lost in the play-offs. But that's an experience that we'll bring with us into a new season. We'll build on the last seasons results, and do even better. We want to win the league, and avoid the play-offs, of course, that has always been a target since we was relegated from Blue Square Bet Premier in 2011. An this season I'm convinced that we'll manage to go back up. Just watch us!

When talking to the press he was crystal clear. He agreed with the board and concluded that only promotion was good enough this season. He also told that he wanted to re-build the squad. To build a squad capable to fight in the Skrill Premier, one division over Skrill North. There is no doubt that Sinnott is ambitious, and aiming for the sky!

TWO PLAYERS ON LOAN TO ALTRINCHAM

It's only a couple of days since Lee Sinnott was told not to pack his stuff and leave Altrincham. Today he has finalized his first transfers this season. The first player to arrive at Moss Lane is the 20 year old Joseph Mwasile. The Zambian midfielder is known for his creativity and pace. Mwasile has singed a 12 month loan contract from Morecambe. He can play in the cup and he can also be recalled.

Only a couple of hours after Mwasile's tranfer was confirmed, another young player arrived at Moss Lane. Matty Dixon is owned by Hull City, and will, like Mwasile, stay at Altrincham for 12 months. The 18 year old midfielder/striker can turn out to be valuable in "The Robins" fight for promotion. He has great pace and know how to head a ball. This will be a player to watch out for in Skrill North this season. Altrincham fans is already optimistic after the first days of this seasons transfer window. If we're going to believe in Sinnott so ain't this the last thing we have seen from Altrincham in this summer window.

The pre season is over, and Lee Sinnott's men hasn't surprised us in the games against the U21 teams from Premier League. They won the games they should've win and lost games they were expected to loose. Their new signing, Matty Dixon was on fire in the last match against Trafford, and scored two goals. Damien Reeves also scored goals in this pre season, and it seems like the club is playing in a way that satisfies both fans and players. It's going to be interesting to watch Altrincham when the season starts in a couple of days, because they are, together with Guiseley, the main favorites to secure promotion in this season in Skrill North.

ALTRINCHAM SIGNS FORMER LIVERPOOL PLAYER

http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110720221733/liverpoolfc/images/c/c5/Sumner.jpg

Only hours after the match between Altrincham and Manchester United U21 did Lee Sinnott confirm the signing of an former Liverpool player. Josh Sumner (19) is an attacking midfielder and is brought to the club to give it more creativity. Even though he is only 19 years old, he is considered as one of the more experienced players in the Altrincham squad, due to his time in the Premier League club, Liverpool. The Altrincham board together with Sinnott has told the clubs official homepage, www.atrinchamfc.co.uk, that this signing is a huge step towards promotion because of the players earlier experiences.

It didn't take many hours before the club had completed another signing. This time it was the Kenyan midfielder Jonathan Wafula (19) who had put pen to paper at Moss Lane. Wafula played for Morecambe until the end of last season, but didn't get a renewal of his contract with the club. Like Sumner, he therefore came to the club as a bosman player. His strength is his pace, and the fans has in a long time asked about a player like this, and hopes Wafula and Sumner can lead the club towards glory and promotion.

The first month in the Skrill North is over, and what a month we have experienced! Altrincham has scored a lot of goals, and been great backwards too. Sumner and Reeves is really dangerous, and they have played really well so far. I we forget the first and third round so far, then this have been a really good start from Altrincham, but two losses in five games is two too many. On the bright side: In the three games they have won so far they have scored astonishing 16 (!) goals. If they continue to score that many goals for the rest of the season I'd be impressed, and if they only gets more stability to their matches, then they might finally say goodbye to the Skrill North after this season. MIGHT!
The table so far

SEPTEMBER - IN GOOD SHAPE

September is now over, and in the Skrill North Altrincham is starting to look dangerous. Despite the draw when visiting Leamington they have won every game this month, including the FA Cup second qualification round. They have scored two goals or more in every game this month, and is impressing fans and experts. With three clean sheets in five games there's no doubt that their defense is starting to look good. Some great victories so far this season for Altrincham, and they are going to be a great competitor for the trophy at the end of this season.
Nice start here man!
1
Good start so far, especially the victory against Gloucester.
1
Thanks @Josh_MU and @cfcmarkt! I'm very pleased about the season so far, but the losses against Stockport and Worcester was disappointing. Gloucester and Oxford City is two of the bigger teams in this season, I think, so victories against them was great!

Note: About the layout: I wanted to make it like I did it in the first couple of posts (the monthly summary) with the teams logos etc. Unfortunately I have a lack of logos, so I'll do it like I did it with the September update for the rest of this season. If we wins promotion I think I have almost all the logos I need, so I'll change the layout back if we get promoted.

Note II Next update will come soon, stay tuned! :)

OCTOBER - ON FIRE!

What a month Altrincham have had! They started out great, and Damien Reeves almost singlehandedly smashed Guiseley 3-0. Guiseley was predicted to be the main competitor to Altrincham for the title, but after this game the future seems dark for Guiseley, if nothing happens. Later this month Sumner and Doble secured another 3-0 victory, this time against Brackley. When visiting Bradford Park Avenue, Altrincham won by three goals for the third time this month. Damien Reeves has been outstanding this month, and six goals in four league appearances. When Altrincham met Boston United only four days after their 4-1 victory against Bradford, a late winner by Sumner secured Altrincham four wins in four league games in October. The only thing that could make their month better would be if they had Solihull Moors in the FA Cup, but they lost after the replay. But to sum up everyone can agree that Altrincham has been in a great form this month, and this is finally going in Lee Sinnott's way. Maybe this would be the season they finally promotes from the Skrill North?

NOVEMBER - A GREAT STREAK!

For every game they play, Altrincham just seems to be stronger and stronger. Defenses is struggling when they meet players like Damien Reeves, Josh Sumner, Nicky Clee, and actually Gianluca Havern (DC who scored a hat-trick against Boston Utd). When the opponents attackers is having the ball against Altrincham they seem stressed, and just wants to get rid of the ball as fast as they can. When we now is only three and a half week away from Christmas Altrincham has gotten a five points gap down to Workington, and with a really solid goal difference. Nobody seems to be good enough to stop this team now, the only question is: When will their 'down period' come? During a season every team has at least one down period, a time where nothing is right and points is dropped. Lets just wait and see, and before their eventual down period, lets just enjoy their excellent football!
Great results mate, Altrincham will be in the Skrill Premier next year.
1
@cfcmarkt: Thanks mate! If the results keep on coming like they have done so far, then the future seems to be very bright! The next updates will come tomorrow, at last one, but hopefully two/three. I won't be able to update from tomorrow night until Monday since I'm leaving on a holiday. Hope you enjoy the story so far, keep tuned, and the updates will keep on coming! :)

What a sick ride - your team is doing incredibly well out there. Oh and I envy you the signing of Josh Sumner! How much does a month of his services cost you?

You musn't forget Oxford City my friend :D

@BartS: Yeah, I couldn't believe how great start we got! Josh Sumner is simply awesome, I think he has a wage at £375 pr/w. I think the capture of Sumner was the most important thing we did in the pre-season. He has been outstanding in some games. And together with Reeves... Unstoppable! :D
