Cardoza Takes Over Truro

http://s105.photobucket.com/user/chrisgriffin89/media/DavidCardozaNorthamptonTownFCPressConferenceCruwzvlEgZ9l_zpsc3f95165.jpg.html

Former Northampton Town chairman David Cardoza has taken over Truro City effective immediately. David Cardoza ended his relationship with his home-town club after his father Tony left the club to pursuit other endeavours.

“To continue at Northampton Town without my father wouldn’t feel right” said Cardoza. “A move to Truro will allow me to stay in football, start fresh and help build a club that has already come so far in the past four years” he added.

It has been rumoured that the manager had a strained relationship with former chairman Pete Masters, so a new owner is likely to be a breath of fresh air. Chris Power will take over as Managing Director with Michael Willis also on board as a Director.

Truro are currently 1st in the Skrill Premier and will be looking to continue their remarkable form to earn promotion to the Sky Bet League 2.
Hopefully the new chairman brings some new ideas and some money to the club :P

After beginning the month with a 1-1 draw against Southport, Truro defeated Eastleigh 4-0 in a dominant display. Truro then played Gateshead once again drawing 1-1, they then went on to face AFC Wimbledon defeating them 4-1 with Nathan Thomas collecting a brace.

In the final game of the month Truro faced second placed Ebbsfleet. The game was positioned at one goal each when Ebbsfleet midfielder Oliver Dillon was sent off for a two-footed tackle on Ladjie Soukouna. After the incident, Stewart Yetton scored twice to see Truro come away with a 3-1 victory.

Truro has guaranteed a spot in the play-offs with a month still left in the season. They require four points from the final four games to win the title.
4 points from 4 games will be relatively easy! Congrats on your (very likely) promotion, after this amazing season!

Truro Win Skrill Premier Title

http://s105.photobucket.com/user/chrisgriffin89/media/footy9f_470x350_zpsa22303bd.jpg.html

Fans erupted at Treyew Road after Truro’s 4-1 loss to Wrexham when fans at the ground were informed that Gateshead had drew with Macclesfield, a result which ensured the Skrill Premier title would be heading to Truro. It has been a tremendous season for the club from Cornwall with the media expecting them to finish 23rd. Despite this grim prediction, Truro managed to win the league with two games remaining.

Plenty of players have contributed for Truro City throughout the season to earn promotion. Billy Jones has been solid in defence while scoring 10 goals from free kicks and penalties. Ollie Chenoweth has taken his game to another level, the goalkeeper only conceding an average of 1.26 goals per game. Truro City captain and icon Stewart Yetton has put in an amazing season with 23 goals in 42 games so far, leaving him 4 goals away from reaching 300 for the club.

Truro will now move up to play in the Sky Bet League 2 which will see them begin to develop rivalries with the likes of Torquay, Plymouth and Exeter who are sides from neighbouring county Devon.
Congrats man! What. A. Season :D

Truro began the month with a 3-2 victory over Tamworth which saw them only require one more point to clinch the Skrill Premier title. In the next fixture, Truro lost to Wrexham 4-1 at Treyew Road but because Gateshead drew with Macclesfield the title was awarded to Truro City.

In the final two fixtures of the season, Truro drew with Stockport 2-2 and lost to Aldershot 2-1.
